Love this place!
Jul 2019 • Family
Love this place the best because it is clean and well organized. The grilling stations are in a designated spot so people can’t ruin your day at the beach by firing up the grill right next to you on the sand. Very clean water. It’s my happy place!

Only problem with this experience is there isnt much shopping or variety of options to eat. But kids had a very good time over all.

So much better than Cherry Creek
Jun 2019
I honestly love the Aurora Reservoir. If I want to swim, have a "beach" day, or go along the trails I'd choose Aurora over Cherry Creek any day. It's cleaner, the scenery is better, and it's easier to access.

During the Summer, the swimming beach is really nice and unlike other reservoirs, it's not often closed for germs or anything like that. You can also bring boats and such to enjoy in another area.

Love it!

My favorite place to stand up paddle board. It's close to home and even if it's busy, once you're out on the water it's super peaceful. I've seen turtles and deer. It's also a favorite place to walk with an 8 mile paved path all the way around. In summer you can rent bicycles, SUP and kayaks.

Very clean and close
Jul 2019
This is a nice little reservoir just a couple miles east of Aurora. It has a nice swim beach Its usually kept pretty clean. The rentals of kayacks and paddle boards is reasonable but the extra charge to have a life jacket even if your not wearing one is silly. The dive beach is ok but the water is pretty murky and even in summer not that warm. Nice concrete trail around whole lake great for biking or walking cost to get in our somewhat steep if your going to use more then a couple times get the yearly pass

The Canada geese outnumber people
Jul 2019 • Friends
A beautiful reservoir with amazing views of the sunsets. Perfect for walking, running, biking, or kayaking. Beware of the swim beach, it's covered in goose poop. I cringed when I saw children running barefoot through all the poop, jumping into the water filled with floating poop, and the open air picnic tables converted in...poop. we were there on a weeknight but left after a half hour because of the geese and poop. I counted at least 115 geese on the swim beach and swim area.

Fishing Trip
Sep 2019 • Couples
My husband took me on a day date fishing I was amazed at how Beautiful it was there the bathrooms are clean, the cost was reasonable, but no veteran discounts. We caught turtles and crabs but put them back but it was fun. Plenty of places to have a cook out.

The Aurora Reservoir was a pleasant surprise. There was plenty of parking. The boys enjoyed swimming. There were plenty of places to sit and lots of shade. The restrooms were clean.

Barbecue!
Oct 2018 • Friends
It was a very lovely visit! But I can say that it was extremely crowded. Due to the great amount of people there was a great amount of trash. But you can’t help it when everyone is barbecuing and having a great time. They have kayak rentals and paddle boards. Definitely give it a try!
