Nice reservoir

Nice body of water and park in southeast Aurora. Wonderful trail for hiking, walking and biking around reservoir. Fun beach and picnic area. Nice for non-motorized water sports

My honey took me fishing here, we rented a boat for about 30 bucks for two hours and fished... beautiful time. The water is so calming and fishing is always relaxing. They also have a makeshift beach that is equally as nice

This is way better than Cherry Creek for swimming. Clean water , life guards, and clean facilities. We live 5 minutes from Cherry Creek and drive the extra 20 minutes to get here because it is so much cleaner for swimming with the kids. They don't allow motorized vehicles in the water so it is so much cleaner. They do... More

Aurora Reservoir offers a number of outdoor activities. It is a large park, and includes a swim beach complete with a picnic area, volley ball court and play ground. The swim area is lovely. Clear water, sand sloping bottom and area marked with buoys. There is a large sand beach and some of the picnic areas are covered. This is... More

Came here with my dog to go swimming. Tried calling ahead and despite them not being closed I wasn't able to reach anyone (called 3 times). The blonde girl at the front was super rude when we got there and asked about taking the dog on the beach. Told us that we can't take the dog on the beach or... More

My wife and I came here with friends. The lake was clean and nice. It was a good size. Although it was busy it didn't seem over crowded. It had nice sandy beaches. Went to fish, but didn't catch any. Still had a good time.

Surprise! 1st, meeting friends for a BBQ cost a $10 park entry fee, ouch. 2nd, Aurora Reservoir is lovely, wow. Hanging out at the beach, right here in the Denver area, what a gem! Unfortunately, may not return, the amenities were not available to us. It took 20 minutes to wait in line to pay the $10 while the single... More

Not worth the trip for me when you compare the experience with Cherry Creek just a few miles away. The lack of facilities and the lack of trees is kind of a let down, things could be a lot better considering the park has been around for a while now.

I love this place, fishishing is wide open area with natral seating carved in rock but not much shade, bike bath is paved and goes around entire park, consessions in summer, beach is clean, great spot for the family, they even have a wheelchair accessible fishing dock which I thought was cool.

The Aurora Reservoir has very good trails (just under 8 miles) for bikers/joggers and a decent beach area (seasonal) with playground for the kids. I wouldn't recommend the beach for swimming but definitely good for kayaking or paddle boarding. It's also a popular spot with fishermen (at least it seems like it to me when I walk the trails) and... More
