Amazing views!

Amazing views of these iconic mountains. Best to go during the week as it's very crowded on the weekends!

Absolutely beautiful! Took the hike to Crater Lake. Nice 3.6 mile moderate hike. Well worth the effort.

A short ride out of Aspen on Route 82 is simply an easy, beautiful walk. The scenery is breathtaking. There are two extended walks to two different lakes - the walk to Crater Lake involves an increase in altitude (above the 9500 feet where the trail begins) so it is more challenging. During their busy season most visitors are bussed... More

After a short visit to downtown Aspen we hi-tailed it out of town to the much more natural, amazingly beautiful nearby area of Maroon Bells. A short drive into the park ($10 entry fee per vehicle) and a short walk to the lake yielded spectacular views of mountains, trees, water and skyline. Photo buffs will absolutely love this place. You only need to hike a short distance to see this picturesque place. Hearing that it is one of the most photographed places in CO, it was top of our list of places to see and it did not disappoint. It was snowing when we were there and it was just amazing to see 1st hand what everyone talks about.

Awesome ride from lodge to Maroon Bells. 8 miles of climbing and a fast, fun descent! I try and do it a few times each visit!

I have wanted to visit Maroon Bells for a very long time. This is the iconic Colorado picture everyone around the world sees. The peaks are simply amazing! If you wish to drive yourself you must arrive before 8am or after 5pm. Otherwise, you can take a bus which transfers hikers back and forth. When we went one of the... More

We went up twice. First, in the afternoon via the shuttle, which worked out fine. But the lighting is not nearly as good and our rental car suffered a large dent while parked in the shuttle parking lot :(. The next morning we drove up at sunrise and the light was much better for photos. No problem parking right near... More

Stunning location and photo possibly the most scenic photo op in all the Rockies. Hiking trails begin at the Bells that are also stunning. Truly one of the magical places of the Rockies . Planet Earth does not get any more beautiful then this.
