Definitely worth a visit. Magnificent views wherever you turn. We did the hike to Crater Lake. Definitely worth the effort. Would consider it a moderate hike. We didn't get to the area before 8 a.m. so had to take the bus which cost $8.00 ($6.00...More

Scenic views. Short and easy to full day and over-night hiking trails. Great camping sites; reservations required. Ride the bus from Aspen Highlands. There is limited parking but you can drive into the Park before 8:00am or after 5:00pm. Senior National Park Pass accepted.

We rode our bikes to the beautiful Maroon Bells. The climb was gradually and could be challenging to a beginning rider. The road is lightly traveled by cars and buses. The scenery and mountain air was fantastic.

You have to be there before 8am, parking is very limited. If you come after 8am you have to sue the RFTA shuttle which is $8 per person (roundtrip)

The bus ride from Aspen Highlands is only 20 minutes. The bus has no onboard restroom facilities. They are available near where the bus stops at the top of the hill.
