Owned and operated by a professional staff that has been guiding our local rivers for more than 20 years, we offer a range of personalized, fun, and safe whitewater adventures. We provide exemplary customer service to all our clients, something larger companies in the valley are hard pressed to match. We are the only company in the valley that focuses solely on whitewater rafting - our true passion. Our priorities are safety and fun, and we do our best to cater to each individual’s needs in order to create the perfect Roaring Fork rafting experience. We have some of the best guides in the valley (over half are Class IV/V guides), new equipment, outstanding lunches, and small group sizes, yet we offer our trips at an affordable price. Nick, RJ and Connor really took the whole rafting trip to a whole new level. Whether it was pointing out parts of the river, How to safely navigate, to local history, to even jokes these three were the bomb!
We especially appreciate white water rafting accommodating us as there was a mistake in our original scheduling: our original trip was scheduled when we were not going to be in town! They really Made things happen to get us in on the Day before the last day of our trip.
Highly highly recommend you do this, it was truly an epic experience and our three guides bent over backwards to do things for us.

Had an amazing half day trip on the Roaring Fork with Neil!! He was super personable, fun, gave clear instructions, and made us feel very safe on the river! All of Aspen Whitewater Rafting took great precautions to ensure social distancing from beginning to end. They coached when to wear masks, wear to sit on the busses, and kept the groups separate when getting ready for rafting. Would hands down do this again, but would come back for Class IV instead! It’s a beautiful summer in Aspen, so this is definitely the time to try out rafting!

Our family of 5, including 3 late stage teenagers, had a great time on the Slaughterhouse trip. Dan was a great guide and definitely made sure our 19 year got the most 38 degree water splashed on him. We've been on quite a few white-water rafting trips over the years and this 6 miler is definitely one of the more action packed. If you're looking for big drops, this isn't it, but if you're looking for lots of technical action, consistent rapids (almost the whole 6 miles) and some fun smaller drops, this is it.

This is only my 3rd time rafting but my family and I had a blast! Holly was a wonderful help via phone and email in choosing the correct trip for my family (my husband and I + kids ages 15,11 &8). We choose the full day Brown Canyon.
RJ amd Cooper were our leaders on the shuttles and we very informative and witty regarding the area on the ride up to our load in.
My two littles were apprehensive about the trip but RJ, our boat leader, was amazing with both of them!

We just got off a run through Pine Creek Canyon & Numbers and had a blast. There were 4 of us sharing a boat, and our guide, Chris, did an excellent job of making sure everyone was comfortable, stoked, and ready for each rapid. While the river was definitely challenging and provided plenty of excitement, Chris (and Dan, the kayak based support/guide) were absolutely in their element and did an excellent job making an exciting experience safe and enjoyable. I'm by no means an experienced paddler, but with a few trips under my belt before this one, the the leadership of Chris, I felt super comfortable with this run.
Overall, the scenery was beautiful, the river challenging, the guides excellent, and the logistic support was on point. I had a great experience, would fully recommend Aspen Whitewater to any of my friends, and look forward to coming back for another run!

It wasn’t the most perfect day for a whitewater rafting trip - 57 degrees air temp, gray skies with rain, and we still had a great time. Thanks to our handsome and charming guide, RJ, our all day raft trip down the Arkansas River through Brown Canyon was a wonderful experience. Three out of the four people in our party were first timers, and RJ was patient, knowledgeable and encouraging. Logistics and communication were spot on. Highly recommend AWR

Very professional, but also fun. Kobe was a great guide - deft at navigating the river while contemporaneously firing off joke after joke. The trip was well planned, and it was highly convenient that they provided cold-water gear (including footwear) for the trip. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definitely book them next time we're in town!

My family of 5, ages 13 to 52 rafted the Upper Roaring Fork and every one of us had a great time! George guided our raft with excellence, ease and a lot of good fun! His piloting skills put me at ease while staying eager to paddle when he cued us. The transfer from our car, parked at the Intercept Lot on 82 to the bus with equipment and needed information was seamless and efficient. Every person we interacted with on the AWR team was pleasant and energetic! Thank you for a delightful afternoon in the Aspen Valley!!

My son and I did Brown's Canyon with guides Quinn and Perry. Quinn did a great job leading the group. I felt completely safe with him chartering our raft! He has an amazing amount of energy and has a great sense of humor. Best of all he is super knowledgeable on the water and surrounding history of the town. We didn't know much about where to go for food in the town and Quinn was able to give great advice that lead us on further adventures to great restaurants. My son during this time was interested in a summer experience as a rafting guide. Quinn explained the technicalities of how white water flows down the river and answered all his questions with very helpful insight. We would highly recommend a rafting trip in Aspen and Brown's canyon felt like a amazing river to learn on. This was the best day of recreation activities in Aspen and we will be planning to come back for more!

Our guides, Dan and Kobe were terrific. They were knowledgeable and safety was the main priority. They were six of us in our party and we were all pretty much novices yet we we are definitely able to handle the class 4 Rapids of the Arkansas River “numbers” section. Definitely recommend

Thank you for your inquiry. We do pick up and drop off from the St. Regis Hotel. Timing of trips depends on what time of the year you will be going rafting. We have half day and full day trips. Pick ups range from 7:45-9:15, and 11:45-1:15. Please feel free to give us a call with the dates you will be in town and I can go over the details with you! 970-920-3511.
