Had a great time on the mountain, with powder and sun. Small crowds and good terrain for off piste skiing. Go and hike the Aspen Highlands bowl ... it is quite a hike, but the views and the skiing down is great, especially when there is good powder :-)

Weather was crystal clear blue sky. A little fresh snow. Beautiful scenery along the way. Lunch in mountain cabin. Cheeseburgers a little over rated. Guides were great. Would do Independence Pass next trip.

We were in Aspen for 6 days and skied 2 at Aspen Mountain(Ajax), 2 at Aspen Highlands and 2 at Snowmass. The 3 mountains have very different characteristics, and appeal to different types of skiers. While there is plenty to ski for everyone at all of the mountains (except beginners should probably ski at Buttermilk or Snowmass), the differences create... More

Though known for it's expert terrain, especially Highland Bowl, there is plenty of intermediate skiing too. Highlands always seems to get more snow than the other Aspen ski mountains, so, with it being less crowded, the conditions are always good. My only complaint is that it is a hassle to get there. In my case, I have to ride several... More

The crowds were minimal and the runs diverse. Lots of great cruising runs as well as some fun bumps. The people seemed to be much more local than tourists, so I felt a bit safer with more experienced skiers on the slope. Great views.

Just the most fabulous resort for skiing. wonderful slopes and great facilities. Aspen mountain isn't for beginners but intermediate or expert are fine. Good wide runs with excellent views and so close to town. The Roaring Fork Bus Service is free and really regular so it is easy to flip between mountains. Resort is expensive for restaurants but the quality... More

Fantastic bowl skiing, great steep glades, holds the snow well, good tunes all over and then the madness of cloud 9 bar!

The views, the intimate environment and lack of a crowd were all great. We ended the day a Cloud 9. It was an epic party for skiers of all ages. We have skied at Aspen Highlands before. We will return.

Lots of snow, steep verticals and no crowds. Take the cat to the Highland Bowls and hike up as little or as much as you want. 45-48 degree verticals. At times, we felt like we had the mountain to ourselves.
