Stumbled on it by mistake while bike riding with friend, brought the husbands back later - just loved the way it was done, with all the songs on the stones, very impressed and would recommend it to anyone going to Aspen

One of the main reasons we stopped in Aspen, if you are a John Denver fan and within 100 miles you should go out of your way to visit this park.

I've had the opportunity to visit the memorial gardens on two separate occasions and have thoroughly enjoyed both! Being a huge fan of John Denver's music throughout the years, I especially enjoyed seeing the large granite boulders with the words to many of his songs...More

I will have to read more about this online. It was a little hard to find because parking near it was often taken up by soccer games. We looked pretty hard to find it. There ware lots of rocks, some with his lyrics and some...More

The gardens are beautiful and well maintained. The paths are a little rough as we had some older folks with us. The area is peaceful and the engraved rocks are thought provoking. Worth a stop by if in the area.

Beautiful, compact gardens with many stone and water features with exceptional plantings. Almost like visiting a quiet church. Adjacent to north side of downtown Aspen. Peaceful walk. Adjoining wooded paths along waterways for hours of easy walking.

Beautiful park loaded with flowers with many water features and meandering paths to secluded areas with seating for reflection. Worth a visit for certain.

I would suggest contacting Willie Hoevers, who is also making plans for the 20th anniversary of John Denver's death. Willie is also on Facebook. My wife Diane tells me she knows you from Facebook. We live up in Wisconsin.
