This town and mountain was somewhat of a disappointment. The mountain is fun, but beware the end of the day "last run" to town. The mountain funnels to the bottom. Tired legs and bad skiers make this last run very dangerous. Want to go out to eat at night? Bring a ton of money. And, if you don't own something... More

At the highest course in the world, free, and they provided discs. Food at the Sundeck was surprisingly good. Views of the Rockies don't get any better. Went back a few times this July trip.

At 1:00 every Saturday during the music festival you can listen to "Music on the Mountain"--always a brass quintet, beautiful mountain backdrop. Listen awhile, and then hike the nature trail--you can hear the music as you go! Purchase the $32 Summer deal. $10 off at the Sky Deck (I had a wonderful salad with grilled chicken.) is a nice perk!

Breathtaking views following a 15 minute gondola ride up the mountain. Great for pictures. There is a cafeteria style restaurant at the top of the mountain that serves pretty good food.

Beautiful views from the gondola or if you have the stamina and aren't bothered by altitude changes you can hike up. We took the gondola but hiked down a ways for beautiful views and then back up. Was a bit tricky but doable with my 10 and 12 year old. Lots to do at top from a relaxing meal at... More

The hike up is long (a couple hours) but worth it, and you can take the gondola down if you're exhausted. It has a great view that you can soak in while sipping a beer at The Sundeck. It also has a great disc golf course in you're into that sort of thing. It is also some world class skiing... More

If you’re visiting in the summertime, I highly recommend the yoga class at 10:20 am on Mon, Wed, Fri. (On Tues and Thurs, they offer meditation.) The hour-long class cost just $5, and the setting is unparalleled. You do have to pay for the $22 gondola ticket to get up to the top, but it was well worth it for... More

We took a gondola ride to the top of Aspen mountain and got some great photos and had a very relaxing and enjoyable time. There was lots to do on top of the mountain as they had Frisbee golf, corn hole, and other cool games to play along with a bar to enjoy a beverage and/or snack.

Having skied most every resort in the U.S. And Canada, Aspen mountain surpasses them all in every way. Because there are no beginner slopes, it is rare to find anyone on the mountain who does not ski well. While not as large as other mountains, it is overall the best.
