Fall is a great time to "discover" the Magnolia Mill. I live nearby and go often to photograph and enjoy the scenery at the mill. The waterfall and the Montgomery reservoir are great focus features to highlight the fall colors against the craggy mountains. The...More

Fished twice there with grandkids this month. Caught good number of rainbow trout in 10-12” range on earthworms. Fished right near north entrance of Platte into reservoir. Also hiked up to old golf mine, and took lots of pics of roaring stream.

My darling climbs the ice during winter in this area and brought me here for the first time! It was a gorgeous sunny filled day in the snow! Not too cold but slightly breezy. Happy New Year! Starting it off right:)

The hike was well worth the view! Absolutely beautiful. My husband & I (both in our 70's), our son & daughter, two of our granddaughters & husbands & a great grandson made the hike.

Really enjoyed hiking a portion of the Wheeler trail. Out and back so go as far as you would like. Quite a bit of water on the trail as it doubles as a creek bed on a few sections but still easy enough to navigate.

I didn't see any restrictions regarding power bait posted or on the game and wildlife website. Might be worth a double check though before you go.
