About
This is a place unlike any other... Just ask anyone who has stopped by. A hundred-year-old building with walls that whisper, and floors that creak underfoot; A place with a rich and rare history; A locally cherished patina of our town, left by time and an endless parade of characters... Off the beaten path, along the scenic Peak to Peak highway, Nestled at the base of Long's Peak, you're sure to discover one of the Rocky Mountains’ best kept secrets, enveloped in the cultural traditions and arts of the Native Americans. Eagle Plume's is a historic trading post established 1917 that is located in beautiful Allenspark, Colorado. Be sure to make a stop at our little friend and family run historical museum/Native jewelry shop the next time you’re in Estes Park, Allenspark, or even just driving along the lovely Peak to Peak Highway.

    A treasure, authenitic
Whenever I'm in the Allenspark area, I stop to see what Eagleplumes ( local talk) has in stock. The history behind the business is intriguing and worth picking up one of the books describing the founder and details. The museum peices take you back in time and are respectful of the art, crafts and jewelry of various tribes. A resident artist is on site in the summer showcasing specific work. The staff is local and knowledgable regarding their wares. Covid precuations are adhered to by staff and visitors
Thanks Laurel! Hope to see you next summer!

    Worth a Visit
Whenever we are in the area we go here with kids. Dayton, Ann and Nico are friendly and welcoming. Feathers for the little ones. Great collection of old jewelry, pottery and Plains beaded clothing and moccasins. Nice selection of contemporary jewelry and pottery for sale. My first visit was 70 years ago.
Thanks so much for the kind words Mike! See you sometime soon...

    Love my turquoise ring!
A beautiful store with variety of jewelry with terrific price range. Special Native American history. A must stop shop! I purchased a beautiful Zuni ring, and I hike and dine with it on as it's gorgeous!

A friendly greeting, or ANY greeting would be nice. The place was dirty, and a sign on the door said no more than 10 people at a time (Covid related). A couple of large guys were rather srawled out in chairs in the small space, no one even said hello, the two of us made 11, so we left. Everyone hanging out in there obviously had a connection to the business. Parking is very limited. Dark and dingy. A few nicer pieces.

I've been going to Charlie EaglePlume's since the early 70's. He was a family friend and we loved his store and him. I will always visit the store every time I go to Estes.

Had not stopped here in years. Our family has been coming here since the 1930s. It is still full of many museum quality pieces. Some beautiful jewelry is for sale. If you want to see the real stuff this is where to go.

Love this place - authentic Native American goods. The kind you treasure - no junk here! The people who work here are a joy; they love to share their knowledge of the artifacts and the building that houses Eagle Plume's. This isn't some kitschy shop, it's the real deal.

This place has a long and positive history. It offers authentic Native American quality jewelry, with prices for all. There are some historic clothing/or/jewelry pieces on exhibit. And, they occasionally have speciality shows, with well-known jewelers/artists showing their crafts (for sale usually). Just a few minutes outside of Estes Park.

Luckily on the way up to Estes Park we spotted this little gem. This is an original---nothing else like it. My husband really enjoyed it too; its packed with authentic American Indian charm and grace. Wonderful history, stories, art, old photos. . . . . WARNING: women who love quality, genuine Indian jewelry, you will go out of your MINDS with joy.

We stopped here based on a recommendation from one of our Allenspark shopkeepers. She mentioned we could learn about Native American history, view some neat artifacts, and shop for some beautiful and one-of-a-kind jewelry. We spent nearly 90 minutes talking to the staff, learning about the culture, and ended up taking home some beautiful pieces we couldn't have ever found anywhere else. My dad and husband really enjoyed the museum aspect and my mom and I really enjoyed all the jewelry, and the staff was so kind about letting you try things on and educating you about the origin, best ways to clean it, care for it, etc. This is a place we'll stop every time we visit Allenspark, Estes Park, or Rocky Mountain National Park. It's worth going out of the way for!! FREE ADMISSION. FREE PARKING. FREE HISTORY.

We stopped by Eagle Plumes on our way up Hwy 7 and had a fantastic visit. We loved seeing all the authentic Native American items displayed. The kids each selected a dreamcatcher which they have already placed in their bedroom. We also scratched the belly of the sweet dog who lives there. The staff was extremely personable and they interacted with the kids- making them feel super important! My only regret was not purchasing a necklace for myself while I was there. I may just have to go back before we leave town.

The ladies in the group completely enjoyed the quality and selection of jewelry. That got old with me very fast, but there is a great deal of old Indian weapons, costumes and other stuff that is worth the trip. The owner has some great stories and really knows his stuff. Much better quality and value than the merchandise you will find in town.

I rarely shop while on vacation, but I love this store. First, the jewelry is by far the best in the area. Second, the tiny museum and story of the former owner, Charlie Eagle Plume is simply worth the stop. You will see authentic Native American artifacts in this establishment. It has a great vibe. Don't miss it.
