This was a wonderful bike and hiking trail. It’s paved for bikes and an easy ride. It runs through wooded areas, alongside a stream and a golf course, and crosses over one or two bridges.

This may be not widely known outside of the area, but this is a premier biking trail that goes for miles with gorgeous scenery. Highly recommend it. There are mostly level areas, and it is well suited to all ages.

Started at Avila Beach Inn and walked to the ocean and back. Trail is spacious and allows for walkers, runner, cyclists, etc. Crossing over a bridge you can see lots of wildlife, in particular herons. Great way to start the day!!

As one person already said, if you go down to the beach in Avila, you can rent bikes. BTW, even though the bike path is in Avila, it ends up going way north, so not sure at the end of it if there might be another bike rental... More
