The word "Eco" tells you that you will be learning interesting information about Catalina Island while you are taking advantage of the Zip Lining fun adventure! Five Zip Lines with a platform/station at each one, details animal and plant life on Catalina Island, and the history of the Island. The professional guides give a talk at each platform on interesting facts about Catalina Island then coaching you and instructing you carefully. Some interesting notes: bring a camera or video camera with "straps" so you don't drop it hundreds of feet below, a light jacket with a hood to protect yourself from the cool ocean breeze, pockets are helpful also. The guides are there to assist you, help you relax, cheerfully answer a hundred and one questions that everyone has. Everyone has a great fun time, lots of laughing. You hold your hands onto a bar above your head as you zip, but you are strapped securely in, so even if you let go of the bar, you won't fall out. You are weighed in at check-in. Space gets filled quickly on the small boat tours, scuba diving, golf, restaurants, bike rentals, etc. Not too much walking for you on this Catalina Zip Line Eco Tour, not too many stairs, about 2 hours total, about a 300 foot canyon, you travel at speeds about 45 mph on the lines. The first tower is about 550 feet, each zip line is different lengths, each is at a different angle. Some have more speed, some have less speed, different views of the Harbor, the mountains, the island, the ocean. That's why this is the absolute BEST Zip Lining experience in all of the United States! Spectacular views! Go during the daytime hours so you can see the breathtaking views of everything! The last zip line has a camera that takes your photo after you come down the last zip line, that you may purchase for about $17 if you like your funny once-in-a-lifetime photo. Your chicken friends who decided to not to partake in this fabulous experience can can take pictures and videos of you from the lower platform stations too, but none of their pictures of you will be as hilarious and face-on as the great picture the automatic camera takes of you.
