Discover the underwater world of Catalina Island during a 45-minute ride on a semi-submarine. The semi-sub allows you to view the marine life of Avalon Bay as you dive six feet (two meters) below the surface at Lovers' Cove. Stay dry as you get a close look at fish feeding around the submarine, then take in views of the island from your vessel's top deck during the return journey to Avalon.

I've snorkeled a lot and expected this to be a bit lame. But my daughter thought it would be great and shes a bit scared of the ocean (wont snorkel yet) still so we gave it a go. We both loved it. We saw tons...More

The tour guides worked very well with kids although their language might have been a bit sophisticated. Besides that, there are a ton of fish to see and it feels like they are surrounding you. Not as colorful as you’d like but definitely a variety.

Kitsch. Over priced. Boring. Disappointing. This would be better if it was near coral and went deep. It only goes a few feet under the water. Paying to attract the fish with food seems stupid. Why not just provide the very thing that makes this...More

This is a nice little tour for kids, it reminds me of the old Disney Underwater Sea Adventure with the subs, but the fish on those were all fake. These fish are not fake and it's fun to watch them. I liked seeing an learning...More

You'll either really love this, or be very disappointed. There are two locations where the crew feed the fish....so a huge mass of fish suddenly congregate around the windows. It's cool to be that close to so many fish. But there's not a huge variety...More

Decent trip with view if under water -- feeding fish was fun --- water was not as clear --- a little pricey and then the fish feeding was extra

Crew did not provide narrative of aspects of marine life around Catalina Island. The fish were very responsive to the food torpedoes, but more interactions with crew would have helped, especially considering the cost

Lame is the best word for this tour. We were looking for a tour that would include the coral reefs and the ticket window sales lady said that the submarine was what we needed. ( versus the glass bottom boat which is half the price)...More
