Discover the underwater world of Catalina Island during a 45-minute ride on a semi-submarine. The semi-sub allows you to view the marine life of Avalon Bay as you dive six feet (two meters) below the surface at Lovers' Cove. Stay dry as you get a close look at fish feeding around the submarine, then take in views of the island from your vessel's top deck during the return journey to Avalon.

I'd highly recommend this tour for kids. Most of the little ones enjoyed the aquatic life experience during our tour. They take you 6 Feet under and the submarine doesn't submerge completely, so what you get is similar experience of snorkeling. The view wasn't clear...More

We really enjoyed this tour. It took us from the harbor into town and through the residential areas. Then it went up skyline drive and drove through the mountains and canyons surrounding Avalon. We saw beautiful views of the harbor and all the lush mountain...More

We had signed up for the first glass bottom boat tour of the day. While we were waiting on the pier, an employee approached to ask if we were willing to switch to the submarine trip, without any extra charge. It was a fun way...More

When I say this is a MUST DO, I mean for those with some degree of fitness about them. Like, you need to be somewhat in shape because it does require some power and balance. It is super safe and the instructions are very clear....More

We wanted to see the interior of the Island and this tour did not disappoint. You really get to see how much of the Island is undeveloped and we did see a bison. Our guide Jeff was knowledgeable and interesting. We did bring our own...More

B.Y.O.B.(Bring your own binoculars) because unfortunately the ones they provide on the truck are so scratched you cannot see anything thru them. Now, I can’t say enough about our 2-hour Safari/Island Trip up to the airport and back. Our driver was an amazing tour guide....More

The fish we saw weren't anything out of the ordinary- not colorful or interesting. They don't tell you beforehand, but they charge you ($4 for every pump of food you put out next to your window) once you are on board for fish food so...More

Tour guide was funny and knowledgeable about the area, lots of great vistas to take in. We did get to see a few bison, but they were a bit too far to see clearly. Each seat has a pair of binoculars which seemed to work...More

I would go morning to midday. You see many fish, but of only a few species. The fish are fed (sometimes by you at extra cost), which keeps them coming.
