Great experience diving in the Dive Park off the Avalon Casino!

Rented a full set-up for 3 dives off of the coast of Catalina. We first dove to the ship wreck on the south side of the park. Depth was 90ft and you go through a kelp bed to... read more

Rented a full set-up for 3 dives off of the coast of Catalina. We first dove to the ship wreck on the south side of the park. Depth was 90ft and you go through a kelp bed to get there. Great diving....visability was about 60ft. Lots of fish including sea bass, calico bass, and garibaldi. Everyone at the dive shop... More

We rented some of Dave's equipment, and everything was in good shape and the process was very easy. Dave and his employees were very nice and knowledgeable and helped us make sure we had all the information we needed to have a great time snorkeling! Check in and equipment return was quick and easy!

Dave and the whole team over at Diving Catalina were a pleasure to do business with. Their equipment was in great shape and they were willing to give individual guidance to the members of our group that were less familiar with snorkeling. Though we opted for just snorkling gear, from what I saw his SCUBA gear looked to be in... More

Diving Catalina is easily the best place to rent sea equipment on Catalina Island. Along with six of my friends, I rented snorkel equipment (mask, snorkel, and fins) for a day. We had any absolute blast. All of the equipment is in fantastic condition (uncommon for snorkel equipment), the staff was knowledgeable, experienced and friendly, and they even let us... More

I got there a bit early and found them at the flag pole behind the casino building. They operate out of a box truck, but hey, everyone does here. Besides it has everything you will need in the truck for your dive and it's just steps to the water. I booked online for a guided 2 person dive. I called... More

Andy was amazing! This was my 3rd California dive. Much better than La Jolla. Andy had everything laid out. He explained everything about the gear on the surface, was very attentive in the water, and understood my underwater communication. I encountered a little snafu underwater, but Andy helped me to solve it underwater--though he was willing to surface as well.... More

I booked an introductory dive with Diving Catalina so that I could try scuba for the first time (I am not certified.) My instructor Andy was clear and thorough in explaining all the basics and was very professional. I had a difficult time feeling at ease at first and Andy was incredibly patient and helpful and attentive. Once I did... More

If your looking for a dive shop you can trust, your looking for this one Dave knows his stuff and has obviously done this for awhile. Our conditions were not stellar, with a post storm surge hanging around, but Dave helped us make the best of it. We got to see some pretty cool stuff, even with the not so... More
