Old Town Auburn is like stepping back in time with the charm of early California.

Old town has a variety of antique stores, jewelry shops, and great places to eat. If you're looking for some adult beverages, Old Town can satisfy that need as well.

You will find great food, fun shops and walk among historic buildings from the California Gold Rush. This is a great place for a pit stop on your way east to Tahoe and Reno or on your way to west to San Francisco.

Interesting to see what the area looked like as if during the mid 1800's during the gold rush era. Remnants of a past long gone by. Such an amazing American and Californian part of history. Worth a visit passing thru Northern California.

We went to shop a little and go the wine bar. There is a lot of parking available and a shuttle. We found quite a few shops with items we wanted to buy. We ended our visit with a stop at the Carpe Vino wine bar.

Carpe Vino is and excellent gourmet restaurant with an incredible wine selection. Ask for Jana Kosmata, she really knows her stuff.

We drove around the town and after a bit took a short walk through the old town. The weather was quite hot so I think a walking tour is best in fall or spring. The city hall is beautiful and the homes in town are charming.

It's the Wandering Yank here. Mrs. Yank and I recently went to the Auburn Alehouse (see my review), and we walked around for a while both before and after. It's fairly well restored. There are a number of good restaurants, interesting shops and an art gallery or two. We always enjoy walking around to see the menus and what's in... More

Had a couple of hours to spend in Old Town Auburn. Such a calm and quaint little town. Lots of local eateries, bars and shops. My favorite places are Bootleggers restaurant. My favorite shops are Sierra Moon Jewlery, the Sliver store. It's a must stop and see place on your travels through the Foothills!

A lovely town from the Gold mining era, historical as well as interesting and fun shops. I KNOW you'll find something you cant live without! Several excellent eateries for many taste buds.
