This is a great resource for information on what is going on in Auburn and the surrounding area, from Skiing, Wineries, Breweries, Live Music, Hikes, River Rafting.... they will have some info - it is headed up by a very knowledgeable lady and the staff too is very knowledgeable - Glad they are here!!

Our local downtown Auburn supported a 5k walk on Thanksgiving. The visitor center opened for this special walk. They had hot cider, fresh mandarins, cookies, chocolates and a very clean rest room. It was warm and cozy at the center. Thankful they were open and welcoming us.

Met Henk the other day when we stopped in for some info, and had a most interesting conversation, as well as good advice. The visitors' center is conveniently located and well organized.

The personality of the place and welcome to our house vibe of the ownership even though it was a concert event. That concert was actually a dress rehearsal for the forthcoming road trip of the singer and her group (Maria Muldaur and her guys). We will be going back. traveling north from Auburn to Grass Valley we viewed the sunrise coming up through the drift smoke of a forest fire in the mountains.. Stopping in the Lake of the Pines we saw the sun coming up.... Beautiful.
