Pay attention so you find your way back to the parking lot. It's a long walk to the ocean but there are lots of shells and pretty rocks. You have to look for the compacted sand because a lot of the sand is work to...More

Best area dog beach we have encountered. Eureka is next to the ocean but doesn't really have open ocean beaches. this is the closest. Beautiful, roomy, and usually occupied by individuals and families who respect and enjoy each other's animals and their frolicing together.

I have always enjoyed stopping and walking through the dunes. A nice stop on a long drive from the Bay Area to visit friends in Oregon.

We love the Northern California coast. Clam Beach is one of our favorite spots. Beautiful view of Trinidad Head.

The beach is really collecting a lot of driftwood. If you find this interesting or like to find sanddollers then this is the beach for you.

Stopped by for an off leash walk with my dog. The beach is a nice place to walk. She loved it and spent the whole time rolling in the sand and barking at the waves. It was foggy and cold, so there weren’t many people...More

This used to be the favorite spot for locals to run your dogs or horses, Drive your 4x4 to the beach to harvest clams or have a picnic with your family. Have a campfire in the evening or surfing. They have closed the beach to...More

Beautiful, but we really didn't feel safe leaving our car. There were surprisingly a lot of transient people hanging around the parking areas, sleeping in their cars, makeshift campers, etc. Since it is a decent walk to the beach from parking, we were just uncomfortable....More

I have only seen smaller rigs. It is not a campground but there are 2 areas: one has overnight camping in tents and the other area is day use. A R V can do day parking.
