Stopped by for an off leash walk with my dog. The beach is a nice place to walk. She loved it and spent the whole time rolling in the sand and barking at the waves. It was foggy and cold, so there weren’t many people...More

This used to be the favorite spot for locals to run your dogs or horses, Drive your 4x4 to the beach to harvest clams or have a picnic with your family. Have a campfire in the evening or surfing. They have closed the beach to...More

Beautiful, but we really didn't feel safe leaving our car. There were surprisingly a lot of transient people hanging around the parking areas, sleeping in their cars, makeshift campers, etc. Since it is a decent walk to the beach from parking, we were just uncomfortable....More

We love letting our dogs run on this endless beach. Great view of the Pacific Ocean, clean and dog (and horse) friendly. The wild pacific wind whips up the ocean, so definitely not swim friendly, but if you want a good long walk or run...More

We take our dogs here every week. Great place to let them run in the surf. Just be responsible and bring a leash. Leash your dog when you approach horses or other dogs on leash. And bring a bag to pick up their poop. There...More

We had a long (4 mile round trip?) walk on this marvelous sandy ocean beach from the tiny parking lot to what must have been Moonstone County Park. The beach has a view of Trinidad Head with its offshore seastack rocks nearby. At Moonstone are...More

There is a small parking lot that seems to limit the number of people. Dogs are welcome but must stay on leash until you get to waters edge. Also accessible from Hammond Trail. We always enjoy Clam Beach.

We came from an area which was around 100 degrees. It was nice to visit the beaches at 61 degrees. We were only there over the weekend, but everything was excellent.

Decided to stop by clamp beach on the way to humbolt and were surprised to find it was less people during morning low tide and the sand were very fine and nice to walk on. Beautiful long stretch with ocean waves along.

I have only seen smaller rigs. It is not a campground but there are 2 areas: one has overnight camping in tents and the other area is day use. A R V can do day parking.
