This is by far the most beautiful, tranquil, and secluded winery we've ever visited. Tasting wines from grapes that are growing just mere feet from you is a cool experience. We loved being able to bring a couple pizzas with us from a local pizzeria and sit outside under mature shade trees on a perfectly warm evening. All of the wines we tried were fantastic, most especially the estate pinot noir varietals.

I went to the tasting for the new pinots at Nicholson. This winery consistently makes some of the best Pinot Noirs in the area.

We live in the area and just recently have started exploring our wonderful local wineries. As a side note, we are big fans of Sonoma County (usually visit there at least 2x a year) and are heartbroken about the devastating wildfires ravaging that area right now. Visiting Nicholson reminded us very much of the beauty we love in Sonoma. They had a Pinot tasting going on for $20pp but instead we bought a bottle of their delicious Chardonnay ($28) and enjoyed it at one of their many picnic tables. What a wonderful way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Beautiful Scenery and friendly staff running the vineyard The tasters were full glasses and came a really good explanation of the process and what goes into each wine Well worth a visit, the wine was lovely, even the White and I am not normally a fan!

We originally had planned to drive to Napa but decided to try the Aptos, Santa Cruz region after reading great reviews of the wineries in the region. We were pleasantly surprised finding this lovely place. It was a gorgeous day in January. We did the tasting of 5 or 6 wines. I love Pinot Noir and they had other delicious selections as well. My only regret is that we had not thought to bring any snacks and none were available. Wish we could have bought some bottles but since we were traveling and flying it was not feasible. We had a great time & made wonderful memories. I highly recommend this winery.
