Gary is an incredibly effective, efficient teacher. I took the solo lesson and learned in 6 hours what would normally take 6 months to get to the skill set. He is committed to safety and educating riders in the most helpful way. Defiitely take the private beginners lesson with Gary for maximum learning! This was the best part of my trip to Palm Springs.

What a day of dirt biking! We really appreciate Andre's systematic approach. It just makes sense and keeps us safe. He is such a a pro, so inspiring and helpful. I hope everyone takes advantage of this great resource. I am a 56 year old beginner and Andre and his team have played a huge role in me getting out there and challenging myself. My whole family is having a blast together thanks to his help with the fundamentals. We never stop working on these skills.

Andre and the team at Motoveentures were so wonderful. I can’t say enough about how great my experience was. I took the level 2 intermediate class and received such valuable information and individual attention on riding skills. I will be going back soon and I would highly recommend Motoventures riding classes.

This riding school is AWESOME! I’ve been riding street, but this was my first off-road experience. I can’t recommend Andre and his team enough for giving great instruction. You’ll want to go back over and over!

Awesome class and experience overall. I started with the intermediate class since I had base experience on motorcycles. I learned so much and will be back to take the intermediate class again before trying to move to the next class.

My husband and I are 50 somethings, and our son and daughter are teens. We spent the day at MV taking the First Dirt course. It was an amazing and fun experience! Only my husband had spent any time on a dirt bike, and that was wayyy back in the day. Our teacher was AJ, Gary's son. He was super clear explaining the skill that we were learning, and gave us plenty of supervised riding time with constant feedback and instructions.
After a late morning break, we hit the trails, and I felt quite confident about my (very basic!) skills. Following lunch break, we revisited some of the skill drills and then went on our second trail ride. It's pretty cool to go from zero experience to bombing around trails in the span of a few hours.
Safety is a huge issue, and AJ explained in great detail the do's and don't's of riding a dirt bike. MV clearly takes keeping their clients safe very seriously. In all, it was a super fun way to do something totally different with the family. It is challenging, to put it mildly, to find an activity that both parents and teens enjoy doing together, and this one is a home run. Go see Gary at Motoventures!!

My wife, daughters and myself attended a one day program in November. It was a fantastic day! My wife (47) and daughters (15 and 17) had never been on a motorcycle or dirt bike before. Gary and Rob (one of the instructors) were fantastic. The instruction was in-depth, fun, safe and moved along at the pace of the group. Within a few hours they were riding really well. The equipment is new, and very reliable. I had ridden a street bike for years and was in another group. Once again it was challanging for me, but that is what I wanted. It was a ton of fun. It was the highlite of our trip to California. They took a few breaks, provided lunch and snacks (which were good). They provide everything you need for the day. Come as you are. Before we arrived Gary spoke with us on the phone to ask us about our experience, fears etc. He was very supportive and made sure he knew exactly what we needed for a fun and safe day. We spent the night before in Temecula, and it was an easy 30-40 minute drive to Motoventures the next morning. The scenery is also beautiful in this area of California.

About two years ago I began dirt biking at the prompting of a friend in Michigan. He even built me a Honda 250 two stroke dirt bike. At 54 I was hesitant but tried it and loved it. In December we took a trip to Cape York in Australia and dirt biked for a few days. It was incredible but I still didn't know what I was doing and not getting any better. I began to search adventure groups in So California and was directed to Moto Ventures. Gary, the instructor was extremely responsive by email and phone so I made a reservation to try it.
Moto Ventures supplied EVERYTHING....from a great motorcycle to safety gear even down to the socks. Everything was included.
I took the level 2 skills class and was terrible. Gary had me laughing at myself and slowly I began to unlearn my already bad habits and began to replace them with new skills that I never thought I would be able to do. I am tentative as I get older but never once did I feel like I was going to get hurt. The class members each did the skills at their own level and speed.
Needless to say I was pumped but defeated so I signed up for another class just a few weeks later and went back for round two. Yes, I had gotten better but no, I am still far from a pro.
The whole experience is addicting. I am signed up for my third weekend and already booked when my buddy arrives from Michigan in a few weeks so he can take the trials class.
Just once is great, many times is even better and definitely for people who have never ridden a motorcycle in their lives to professional racers. Moto Ventures has a class and skill for you to learn.
Thanks Gary and the whole team for a first class experience that even a 50 some yo guy can enjoy and feel 25 again.

I was looking for some serious dirtbike training in preparation for racing enduros. I'm so glad i found Motoventures! Gary Laplante (yes, the guy who wrote the book) and Rob Hock really know their stuff (and are nice guys too)
We have been through the whole curriculum in 8 days of private sessions and i learned more than i already knew!
But not only i rode: My 6 yo daughter got her first miles of dirt biking under her belt and my wife (who never rode before) turned out to be a natural talent! She kept practicing and practicing and really loved it! This showed me that they guys at Motoventures really can adept to any skill level and make learning fun for everyone as well.
The trial biking is what will have to get me to the next level in enduro riding (all great enduro riders ride trials or have a trials background). Boy....is that something else! Took a lot of getting used to and learned a lot about the 'mental game' of progressing in your training, which was nice as well. Learned a lot about bike handling.
The Motoventures private training ground has a lot of trails to practice your newly learned skills on and was perfect for the whole learning process.
The bikes were very well maintained (we rode almost all of them Yamaha pw50, 250, 450 and 125 as well as the GasGas 285cc trialbikes) and a join to ride on.
The guys have a lot of interesting stories about dirt bikes and racing from their vast dirt biking and motocross experience.
Thank you, Motoventures! Can't wait to show my new skills to my riding buddies!

My dad and I went to Motoventures for two days and we both learned a ton and had lot of fun. The first day it was snowing (!!) which apparently happens very rarely there. Despite the snow and cold, we had a great time and rode all day, the weather just made it more of an adventure. I am a 13 year old girl, and I've rode before but I'm not very experienced, and I got a lot out of this trip that I will be able to practice a lot to get better at. Gary and Rob, the two instructors, were very helpful and took us through many useful exercises. Throughout these they gave us constant tips to help improve our technique. There was a good balance between the exercises and trail rides in which we could practice the skills and put them to use. Being only 13, on trail rides I tended to lag behind from the group at times. Rob was very helpful however, and stayed behind to help me if I fell, needed to speed up, or get through a tricky part of the trail. The food and snacks (and chocolate!) were good, and it was fun to talk to Gary and Rob during breaks. It was also super cool to see them do tricks and jumps because they are really good. It was a great experience and I can't wait go back!
