I wasn't sure I fancied being subjected to that song for 12 minutes straight, but it is an iconic ride and the kids enjoyed it.

Whether they'd build it now seems unlikely - its somewhat stereotypical in its displays of various countries and cultures etc. But there doesn't really seem to be a way to change that without fundamentally altering the entire nature of the ride.

We also enjoyed the evening Encanto projections on the Small World building (lasts for 4 minutes) and stayed to watch the fireworks here as the projections on the Small World building show up better than pretty much anywhere in the park.

On Genie+, but when we were there in midweek in late August there was never really a wait anyway even on standby.

I am a former WDW CM who visited DL for the first time. I compared similar rides and found this version to be more entrtaining as it also contained Disney IP, The ride was similar and different at the same time. The logistics are a bit different since they are two different buildings. We had our grandkids with us and they were both fascinated, not knowing where to look. The ride went slowly as usual but I think the sound system is better at WDW. WDW did a refurb several years ago and adopted a few of the DL ride aspects. Overall, both location rides are very good though I have to give slight edge to DL.

A must do ride for folks with kids. I've been on it many times over the years and will admit it is not my favorite-( I like a bit more action). That said I have ridden it the last two times with my grandson- at ages 3 and 8 and he always considers it one of his favorite rides and we are sure to be serenaded by the theme song on the ride back from Disneyland.

My wife considers it a must do for herself.

On a hot day it does offer a cool time break as most of it is indoors with air flow. The concept of all of the worlds people sharing joy is great.

But we had to, since family wanted to go and it was their day. I can't imagine how the Cast Members on this ride don't go mad with that darn song playing all day and all night. And some of the images are pretty dated. I guess if it is raining and you are deaf it might be a pretty good idea?

If you go to Disney you have to do this ride. Especially if it's a hot day ;)
You get to see representation from almost all countries of the world. It's a good guessing game. It's also probably the longest ride at Disneyland and a chance to sit down and enjoy it. You will be humming the song for a while afterwards. Also good to point out that the little souvenir store near that ride has some items you can't get at other outlets so take the time to look. The pack of princess dolls I thought was good value for what you get.

We adore this ride. Its really fun for ALL ages. That said, if you have to wait much more than 20 min perhaps come back another time. The holiday theme decorations are over the top great and transform the entire ride. We went 3 times in one day!

I’ve ridden It’s a Small World at WDW multiple times, but this was my 1st ride at DL. Our ride was at night. The lights on outside of the building were very pretty. I was glad to have the opportunity to ride the original of this classic ride. Now I’ve got the song stuck in my head.

The light display at the Small World ride at Christmas time is spectacular! They change the ride’s music for Christmas as well ;)

Used fast pass and zipped through line. Electric scooter ride to exit then get on boat. Took lots of pictures. Rich memories from past trips with family. Doesn't disappoint. Must watch clock open too. If you have scooter then for the parade. Park accross from ride as pictures show. Great gem for watching as you are up above street level.

Small World is so much prettier and nicer in CA then in Florida. I had heard it was better in CA and it really is. The entrance is so pretty. It is a must do, we loved it!
