I'm not really into rides in amusement and theme parks, but this ride at Disneyland @ Anaheim is definitely something that I can do over and over again. The line is long so be patient and you'll be rewarded (even if the actual ride is not that long). It's an immersive, visual extravaganza that takes you around the world with the sights and smells that come with each destination along the world tour. So, if you're there at the resort, make sure you make this ride mandatory in your itinerary.

Soarin’ Around the World is an absolute must experience for ages 2-100! Fast passes are recommended but if you don’t have one, the stand by line moves pretty quickly. After the flight attendant, Patrick, welcomes you and gives instructions, you are escorted into a large room with 9 vehicles (multi passengers) that lift guests into the air over a gigantic IMAX screen. You will experience gentle motion, scents and wind effects as you soar over the Great Wall of China, Matterhorn in the Swiss Alps, Australia’s Sydney Harbor, Neuschwanstein Castle in Germany, Eiffel Tower in Paris and more! The fireworks finale at Disneyland has a hidden Mickey.

Me and my daughter loved this ride. It was so amazing and felt so real. The added scents made it even better. It’s a must try!

We ended up in Zone A at the back which meant that everything wasn't quite straight on and so things look out of perspective. You can't smell the smells that are supposed to be there and you can see the people in the middle row's feet at the top of your vision.

If you get a chance ask to be seated in Zone B, front Row...

That's the best spot for this ride.

Soarin over the world is such a disappointment after knowing how great soarin over California was. In world, if you are on side seats the scenes are bent. You can tell on most of the scenes that CGI was used to enhance or even build the scene. In soarin over California you felt you were in the scene. The ride has gone from my mist do multiple times a visit to a maybe if we have time we’ll do it. Up side is the lines aren’t as long as they used to be

Often a long wait, but worth it. Beautiful 3D movie that you watch while “flying”. Very handicap accessible. You will want to ride it over and over.

I like the attraction, my wife loves it. We hadn't been to the park in 15 years and then this was Soarin' Over California. Not sure why they changed it, after all, it is California Adventure. Aside from that, we still enjoyed the flight.

To do the ride, you enter the room, sit in a seat, and strap yourself in. The seats all lift, point you at a large screen, and the seats tilt to match the movement of the camera. To add to the illusion, a light breeze blows toward you. The scenes are beautiful and you soar around the world.

I miss Soarin' Over California, but the World version isn't too bad. The only issue is some of the footage looks REALLY distorted (ex. Effiel Tower). The inside queue has a lot of cool stuff to look at about aviation history.

I was hoping they would keep the World version exclusive to EPCOT and just update the footage of the California version.

Still a good ride, definitely need to get a Fastpass for this because the lines are easily over an hour.

Don't know why imafineers changed this ride. I loved soarin over cal ifornia. Been going since it opened. This ride is poor quality with picture bending . Cg is only very poor . Who cares about seeing the world? Seriously. Would rather see more of California when you visit here. My hope is for the other to return. Stop trying to remove California..
From California adventure. ! :(

Went on opening day for this attraction's new and improved version on June 17, 2016. Now called Soarin' Over the world. The introduction by Patrick, chairs you ride in, etc., are all the same, but the ride itself - WOW!!!!! You soar over and almost touch the real Matterhorn, the Taj Mahal, a mother Polar bear and her cub on the ice, and so on. It was incredible. The quality of visuals and the intensity of the experience have gone way up.
