Cool looking tall ship at Disneyland. Not that much different than the Mark Twain ride from a view perspective but if your kids like boats, they will enjoy it.

Don't miss out on the displays down below. There are not many places to sit down on deck so be prepared to stand. Caught a glimpse of the new Star Wars site under construction.

This ship is beautiful and listed as a ride but we weren't able to get onboard to go for a sail. We did get to see it sail by later at night during the fireworks show. The hours and information about when this ride is available to the visiting public is pretty vague.

This is such a fun activity; to ride the "Pirate Ship" as our children call it. They love to roam around inside and out while waving to people when we sail by. Like the Mark Twain, is goes around the river while doing a fun little tour (including firing the cannon). The line may seem long to get onboard, but it quickly dissipates with the arrival of the ship. The whole family can ride at the same time.

On the Disneyland web site, they advertise "Sail boldly forth into the wilderness on a full-scale replica of a majestic 3-masted ship from the 18th century." However, every time we have visited Disneyland, the Sailing Ship Columbia has had the same sign posted in front:
"This attraction is currently closed for refurbishment. Please check back for updates."
I not sure this sailing ship ride ever operates.

With the new construction of the new land going on at Disneyland, the Sailing Ship Columbia is parked like the rest of the boats in that river area. Its still a beautiful boat to see.
We have been on it when it went around Tom Sawyer's Island in the past.
Sailing Ship Columbia is a replica of the Columbia Rediviva, which was an American ship. It was the first American ship to circumnavigate the globe.
The ship was an early addition to Disneyland Park and was constructed in 1958.

Take a river trip in this old sailing boat with a few minutes to relax and just enjoy the views. Pass by New Orleans square on your way to the wilderness.

Very similar to the Mark Twain river boat cruise. They just take you around Tom Sawyer's island. No big deal.
