The ride on a boat round a route with a story. The guide was on top form despite it being mid-afternoon- just think how many times he has to repeat the corny jokes every day? Anyway, still enjoyed the jokes and the ride. Worth doing

Yes, the jokes aren't funny. Yes, they are tired and old. Yes, you still come here to hear them anyway. We sat and listened to our guide tell the jokes but not with the same enthusiasm we heard some others. It all depends on how much your guide wants to sell the experience. It was funny at the end when we had to go off script as our boat had to back up due to another boat needing to be worked on in the dock area hidden out of sight. We got stuck by the trading post shack, went forward, backed up, waited, went forward, backed up, and finally got to the end. It threw our guide off and he actually had to put in some effort talking off script. Even though the jokes are horrid, you still want to see the world famous back side of water.

You board your boat with about 30 other people and leave the dock with the warning you may never return but at least at Disneyland you always do (same ride at Disney World had a boat take on water). You head down the rivers encountering animals and reptiles- some in the water moving towards your boat others on shore. You will pass some scenes that are not joyous ( zebra being hosted at a banquet by lions and Joe the shrunken head salesman. All the while you will be entertained by the captains' jokes (very corny) and repeated by all the captains with pretty much the same delivery.

We haven't been on this ride in almost 2 years so we had to go on it this visit, especially since the movie, Jungle Cruise, has recently been released. There have been small updates, a few things have been added, but I am not sure if they were added because of the movie. The line for this ride was longer than the last time we were here; that is probably because of renewed interest due to the new film.

The jokes are still funny and our ride actually took longer than expected because a boat leaving the dock broke down and we had to wait for things to be fixed. We got a free "fast pass" to ride select rides without waiting in line because of the inconvenience.

The last time we did this ride was about 2 years ago.. Nothing has changed, not even the jokes (but there are less of them). This ride is really dependent on "where you sit" and "who you have as your guide". Some of them do this for a job and some love what they do.. You need to find one of the latter. The jokes are very clever / slightly silly but may go over the heads of some of the young ones..

The queue's can be up to 1 hour or longer and there is no fast pass service available here.

The Disney Jungle Cruise has not changed much over the years. Same humorous jungle scenes with the same elephants , hippos, rhino, gorilla etc. in the water and on the shores.... each “tour” is made slightly different only by your guide. Over the years there are several one line zingers and puns that you will hear that have survived, some lines are new and most guides have fun with the tour. After taking groups on the tour dozens of times each shift, the cast members try to keep the ride interesting.... presentations range from faked excitement to one of “ here we go again.... “
It is still a fun time for the imagination, especially for youngsters.

This ride is so gimmicky that it's comical. It's a hokey old original ride and hasn't changed one bit. The 'tour guide' still tells the same old jokes, but it was really fun for the kids to see the funny animals and was a nice ride because it's on the water and slow paced, which made my daughter love it. It's a good ride for nostalgia purposes.

We’ve gone on the Jungle Cruise multiple times at WDW, but this was our 1st time at DL. It’s a classic ride. All of the corny jokes are the same, unfortunately, not all skippers deliver them in the best way. Our skipper fell flat this time.

I have been going on this ride for the last 40 years. It was good a long time ago but needs an overhaul. With all the wonderful technology that is available today plus the special effects, they should close this down and update it.

This is more than a daring trip down river to see the many animals (animatronic) in Disneyland. If you listen to your guide, you'll be in for a ride like no other. Every time we ride this attraction, we get an amazing tour guide that keeps up laughing from start to finish. Some tour guides are more enthusiastic than others and some are just hard to hear. For the most part, it is one of our favorite rides to just sit back and enjoy.
