I'm all about Monsters Inc. (Sulley is my MAN!), but this ride is really lazy. I remember waiting over an hour to ride when it first opened, and the disappointment I felt has stuck with me for years. Now the lines have died down and you can usually walk right on. It's a ride worth doing, but it could've been so much better.

It's a vast improvement over the lame Superstar Limo ride that used to occupy the space and if you were unfortunate enough to experience that attraction, you'll giggle at how they've repurposed some of the ride (like Drew Carey is now a Hazmat dude, the limos are taxi cabs, and the paparrazi flashbulb is now a van full of feds).

The ride has plain animatronics, their mouths don't even move, and features the soundtrack from the movie. So basically the imagineers just made some figures, stuck them in a ride, and put the movie's soundtrack behind them. It's not a bad ride, it just feels lame (especially the more times you experience it).

Roz at the end of the ride used to interact with guests. You could talk to her and she'd say stuff back. Now she hardly ever works and there's just a canned response that she says. Boo!

The best part is the inside queue area, with all sorts of little Easter eggs and puns. Make sure you keep an eye out for Dr. Stinkbaum's foot odor powder and the Bag O' Calories in the vending machine.

We have been to DCA many times over the years, even more this year because we got the annual pass, and for some reason, we always skip this ride. We actually thought it was a show for a while. It is kind of hidden away from other rides near the Marvel Superstore (which is also "hidden" unless you know it is there).

We finally went on it during our last visit and it is such a cute ride! Makes us want to watch Monsters Inc. The lines are short in the morning but can get long once the park gets crowded.

This ride is really fun for the littler kids. If your kids love Monsters Inc. then this is THE ride. It was a lot of fun, interactive for the kids, but I'll say it is pretty loud, especially for little ears. There is one bit that freaked my daughter out just a little bit, but she survived and enjoyed it overall. It's worth a ride for sure.

We did this ride with our 3 year old and 9 year old. It's a straight forward ride and nothing spectacular. Whilst we were waiting to get out of the vehicle the Old Lady at the exit said "Are those really your ears to the people in the back row" and they happened to have Mickey Ears on. We weren't sure (and still aren't) whether it was pre-recorded and they just happened to be wearing stuff or whether there is an actual person watching and making comments.. Either way it was really funny and we enjoyed ourselves.

Recommend the ride.. It generally doesn't have too long a queue...

Always been a fan of Monster's Inc so had to check out this ride. It was the standard dark, flat, musical/narrative, fulled with animatronics Disney ride. No dips or jump scares so good for small kids.

We went on this ride when the lines were short and wanted to sit down for a while. It was good for that, but our kids are too old now to really like the ride (14, 12, and 9). While more modern, it is like the old school rides in Disneyland where you go through the story that you already know. It was nice for that and the chance to sit for a bit.

Its ok - a dark ride telling the story of the original Monsters Inc movie. I don't think it stands up to Secret Life of Pets at Universal Studios though, and even here at Disney I'd prioritise the Little Mermaid and some of the classics in Fantasy Land ahead of this as dark rides. There isn't anything of particular interest on the ride.

Such a cute ride as you relive the movie! The best part of it however is the very end when you have an encounter with Roz! She is the bomb!!!

This ride never seemed to have a very long line. We were looking forward to trying it out because it is only a show in Florida. It did not disappoint! This ride is very well done and a step above some of the other ride through attractions at Disneyland. I'm glad we got to see it.

It was early evening and we were ready for a short line and a sit down ride. We enjoyed the ride as the characters looked for Boo. All sorts of strange creatures were fun to see. As someone who has designed and built doors, I enjoyed the end with rooms of hundreds of doors on conveyors criss-crossing around us. So many doors.
