We visited Main Street Cinema for the first time and it was so fun! We were able to watch a preview of a movie that was actually coming out that same day, but still thought it was fun!!

We like this Main Street Cinema. It shows non talky early Disneyland movies such as Steamboat Willie. Its a fun way to spend some time.

6 great cartoons are run including Steamboat Willie (1928) and Mickey's Polo Team (1936). Relax and enjoy the time off you feet.

This used to be a fun throwback to the old mickey cartoons and the golden age of cinema.... So it used to be a five star attraction.
Now it's ANOTHER merch shop. What a loss.

I'd been telling kids about Disney's original black and white cartoons so it was a thrill to be able to sit in air conditioned comfort at Disneyland and enjoy watching classics for a little while. I don't think I'd ever seen Steamboat Willie in its entirety before. Genius animation.

Hidden in plain sight is the best way to describe this attraction. We were walking along Main St when we saw the Cinema. Honestly it looked just like a façade for a nice looking store front or something, Disney does such often. But then we noticed that near the heavy red draped curtains was a small turnstyle. I pushed it and it rotated, so we thought there must be something behind the curtain. Sure enough we went in and it is the most adorable little movie theater. Standing room only around the oval room, with several screens playing VERY OLD black and white Walt Disney original cartoons. They were so fun to stumble upon. The room would make the perfect escape into AC on a crowded park day. There were only a few other people in here so it was a nice quiet and cool retreat from the heat and crowds.

Just come and go as you please. Old and Original Black and White Mickey Mouse movies playing on different screens. They just play over and over again. Area in the middle that is a platform for young kids to stand on to see over the adults. Didn't stay long just moved from movie to movie to show my kids what the original Mickey mouse was drawn like.
