John our guide gave so much information. Every place we visited he had an enormous amount of information. I now understand so much about LA that I didn't before. It was such a relaxing easy way to travel. The coach was clean and comfortable. We had plenty of water. Amazing.

I brought students from GA for a National Conference. WE did the day with Lenny. The bus was comfortable.. It would have been nice to have cup holders for our drinks. Water was provided and that was awesome-very dry air and GA is NOT dry air. We saw SO much and SO much more we were not expecting. I felt like he kept us in safe areas and the to dos and the do nots at each location. My favorite part was Beverly Hills. I was not disappointed in the tour, but I was disappointed in all the homeless, tent cities & dirtiness of the city. I would recommend this to anyone. WE SAW TONS! Thank you Lenny and Thank you A Day in LA tours - my self and my students are leaving CA to travel home to GA with a ton of memories, experiences & information.

We made a last minute decision to book this tour. With two somewhat disinterested teenagers in tow, I was not entirely sure how this was going to work. The booking process was very easy over the phone and the girl who answered the phone was very friendly and helpful. We were also very pleasantly surprised by how interesting the tour turned out to be. Our guide, Brian, was very engaging, laid back, courteous and genuinely enthusiastic about showing us around. His conviviality was infectious and even my truculent teenagers were drawn out of their shells long enough to really enjoy themselves. Great experience and really showcases the importance of great customer service.

This is a great way to see the entire city in one day but be prepared especially while traveling with young children. The tour is 12 hours long and 85% is driving on the bus. My kids fell asleep several times and missed seeing things we drove past. The bus does not have a bathroom and it only stops at parks and other public facilities that are overrun with homeless people. Neither of my children felt safe entering the filthy bathrooms. In fact at our first bathroom break in downtown LA my son and I were greeted by a homeless man with no pants on, washing his clothes. In addition the stops are very quick (20-30 mins) and the locations are overcrowded, thus if traveling with young children you may not have enough time to enjoy the stops. This is not a bad review about the company. They are awesome and very nice. Our Driver Michiel was very kind and knowledgeable. He is from the Netherlands and has a thick accent so some of his commentary was hard to understand. He was very helpful about warning us about pickpockets and CD scam artist located in Hollywood. We really appreciated the warnings. He also gave us some good recommendations on where to eat while at the Farmers Market. However as my kids pointed out he talked about the homeless people and marijuana laws in LA more than the sites themselves. I am a liberal guy but it was way too much and not at all necessary. Again that is not a bad reflection on him, as someone newer to LA he may not know all the backstories of Hollywood and filming locations. We were also disappointed that the Griffith Observatory was not open. We were not told prior to the trip that it doesn't open until 12 and it is the first stop of the day. You can walk around but you can't enter the building and the only bathrooms are the public bathrooms located in the parking lot (Long lines and filthy). Also, be aware that the tour drives around the outside of Beverly Hills, so if you want to see mansions or famous houses this is not the tour. My son and I are sports nuts, so we were excited to see some of the sports arenas but again this was not what it was hyped up to be. For example you get to pass the Staple Center but on the back side. You are not driven in front where all the statues are located. When I asked the driver he said commercial vehicles were allowed to drive in font of the building, which didn't make sense because it is a public street and we saw other tour buses driving down that road. I think this is a great company and a great way to see the entire city but it might not be the best tour for people traveling with young kids.

Joe was our tour guide. Hopefully you dont get him. He is basically reciting a canned script, ignored or dismissed any questions. He made sure you knew that he acted in something recently, he appeared to be all about himself and very disinterested in his job. No enthusiasm at all was projected to his passengers. Once you are back on the bus you got info about where you had been. Venice beach was disgusting, the stop at the Santa Monica pier was for maybe 15 minutes. We didn't get the brochure map until about the third stop. The Beverly Hills stop was too long, no one is going to be shopping on Rodeo Drive. We covered a lot of ground and traffic. I would recommend choosing what you want to see and use mass transit or a ride share, this just isn't worth it.

This tour was the perfect introduction to LA. We made 6 stops: Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Beverly Hills/Rodeo Drive, Farmer’s Market/Grove, Griffith Observatory, and Hollywood Boul. Just the right amount of time at each location to get a taste, snap photos. Our tour guide, Mark, was truly exceptional. Knowledgeable and funny. A must-do!

This tour was so much fun, our tour guide was super funny & told us interesting history/ details about the areas I would’ve never knew. (Gio? I think his name was). If you’re trying to see a lot in one day this tour is perfect. It made the rest of our California experience more easier since we spent a decent amount of time (45mins-1.5hours) in many areas during the tour. (Santa Monica, Venice Beach & boardwalk, The Grove, Beverly Hills, Farmers Market for lunch, The Hollywood Sign @ the Griffith Observatory & more). It was nice because we visited areas I would’ve never thought of going that we ended up back to the next day & plan on visiting when we come back. I suggest doing this tour the first day you visit Los Angeles if you’ve never been here because it’ll make the rest of your stay a little less stressful if you don’t know much about the area. (They do Free pickup in Hollywood, Los Angeles & other areas)

Prompt responses to a couple text inquiries before the day of the tour reassured us on logistics. Only suggestion is to tell people that the bus and driver that picks you up from the hotel is just a shuttle to the real bus and tour guide. The shuttle bus was not as nice and the driver didn’t say a word, and we were wondering what we had gotten ourselves into!

After driving in traffic through Los Angeles to Anaheim on a Saturday night, we decided to have someone else drive. Luckily, we scheduled our tour on Sunday because traffic is lighter. There is no way we could have seen all the iconic LA sites by ourselves. Mike, our tour driver, was excellent, knowledgeable and so pleasant. He truly enjoyed sharing history and fun trivia, with a few recognizable neighborhood locations as a bonus...Houses of ...Freddy Krueger, Nat’lLampoon Christmas, Charming.) It’s a no brainer to sit back and relax to see the sites. Griffith Observatory, Hollywood sign, Grauman’s Theater with the walk of stars, the 1st. Guitar Center with music stars handprints in the cement, Whiskey A Go Go, Santa Monica Pier, Venice Beach, Rodeo Drive....

Had so much fun, this is definitely worth it. I was able to do everything in one day. Lenny is very knowledgeable and friendly. We had just enough time to explore and do the things we wanted to do. The bus is very clean and water is offered. Loved it!
