The droid is good quality. I wish however I did not buy the bag that's included as part of a more expensive packaged deal. The bag is extremely expensive and my son has not used it once since leaving Disney. They do include a nice carrying case if you don't purchase the bag. Also, the droid itself is rarely used these days but TBH, it is nice so I wish we would have purchased only that.

We came in later in the afternoon around say 4 - 5pm. The place was near empty and all cast members were extremely low energy. It was a hot day (they do have AC however) but definitely a departure from the cast members in the rest of the park.

What sullied the experience was the final cast member at the end was rude. He used Galaxy's Edge jargon when asking if I wanted to store the droid at the depot for pickup later. It was late in the day so I too was exhausted, the cast member used jargon so I couldn't completely understand what he meant and finally, he was wearing a mask inside a loud store so I had trouble hearing him. Needless to say, after asking him a couple of times what he meant, he dropped the jargon and snapped an answer at me in front of my son.

I let it go, why make a scene, but I didn't appreciate it considering the circumstances and definitely was not a "Disney" experience.

I personally wouldn't recommend going back but for those that do, I
suggest only buying the droid and saving money when it comes to all the accessories. If the overall customer experience is improved in the future, maybe I'll revisit then but for now, I'm going to avoid.

We thought the best part of Galaxy’s Edge was just walking around and seeing all the fabulous details -it was like we’d walked right into a Star Wars world. The Millennium Falcon ride was just okay, it was the only ride we had to wait in a long line for; using our Max Fast Pass wisely, we avoided long lines on every other ride, but it wasn’t available for this ride so the line was a bit over an hour or so. The Resistance display wasn’t open yet in Dec of 2019 so we didn’t see that portion, but it was hilarious how the cast kept in character when telling people they couldn’t access that area, they just kept telling them the Resistance wasn’t accepting new members just then :)

We came here with a 3 year old and a 9 year old and decided we had to see Galaxy's Edge and the MillenniumFalcon ride. Getting there at 8am we ended up in a queue for 30 minutes (normal length about 160 to 180 minutes when we were there). The ride was extremely impressive. No 3D glasses, but you definitely feel as if you are in the cockpit and the things going on around you are real.. I did the left right control the first time and the engineer the second time. I think you need to do each type at least once as they are very different experiences...

As for the rest of the Galaxy's Edge, the creatures and animatronics in the bar (the DJ) are really well done. So much effort has gone into the simple things.. Could easily spend a few hours here.. The food / drinks in the Bar are well done as are a number of other meals... Great to see the park evolving with new rides and areas...

Immerse yourself into a truly detailed Star Wars experience. Characters and staff are all 'on theme' and its these small details like bar staff saying "that's not the exit you are looking for". We had no queues for the Millennium Falcon: Smuggler Run on Monday 10th for those doing Single Rider. However you will nearly always be an Engineer. To be a pilot or gunner I recommend going to the normal queue but it still is a case of 'pot luck'. May the force be with you!

If you are a fan, DO NOT MISS this. Do the rides, walk around, buy souvenirs and enjoy every second of it. It's so awesome and I can't express in enough words how much I truly loved the whole thing. Character interaction is great too with Storm Troopers, Kylo Ren. The staff in the area are also in full character so expect them to use star wars phrases. If I had more budget I would have bought so much more. There are also exclusives for Annual Passholders so if you know someone you will have to get them to get it for you. They match names on credit cards used to pay to annual passholder passes - so will be hard to get away with not being a passholder.

Oh My! I am impressed beyond words. In fact, words to describe what has been done in Galaxy’s Edge, Smuggler’s Run, and the Rise of the Resistance could not properly convey how incredibly well Disney has captured and created Star Wars Galaxy's Edge. Our family was transported from Anaheim, California to the planet Batuu at Black Spire Outpost in a way that was just magical, immersive, and fun.

One must experience it for themselves, and boldly go there to absorb it all in order to fully comprehend this feeling of deep joy in the way Galaxy’s Edge has been masterfully constructed. Well done Disney Parks!

Galaxy's Edge is a superb area of Disney, the theming is unbelievable!! They also has characters wondering around randomly, and they are great too. As they maks their appearances they interact with the crowds also.
Rise of the Resistance is a ride not to be missed, however at the moment if you're not in the park before it opens, and register for the virtual queue within 30 seconds you're not going to get a ride on it!!

Definitely transported to the Galaxy's Edge! Disney does not disappoint per usual they knocked this out of the park! I'm not sure if they are going to add more rides, at the time we visited there were only two. Milennium Falcon worth the wait (60 min) the other is Rise of the Resistance. Unfortunately that is pretty much impossible to get on. One must reserve your party but only once you are inside Disneyland (via app) which I did and we weren't even close to being called at 9 p.m. I suppose once the excitement dies down it will become easier, but I am only one of three other parties that went at different time this year and none of us made it on. Otherwise, plenty of shops, food and the Blue Milk a must try.

This review focuses on the Millenium Falcon ride, Smuggler's Run. We got to the park as it opened 12/31/19 and waited 2 hours for this snoozefest. To be fair, doubtful *any* ride would be worth 2hrs but we had to see what the hype was about. Hype is about all it is, this ride is worth maybe a 30min wait TOPS. Seriously people, save yourselves and enjoy the rest of the park. Come back another time when there is little wait. The rest of Star Wars land is cool, but I wasn't like OMG how did they do that or anything.

Disneyland has done an incredible job creating this land and outpost. It actually feels as though you are on location on the wild frontier planet of Batuu or on the set of one of the movies.... the cast members in the shops, in Olga’s Cantina and at the other outpost businesses also play their roles well.
As you walk through this 14 acre area of the park you will feel as though you are actually in a Galaxy Far Far Away....
