My friends and I did the overgrown room. The post apocalyptic theme was so cool. Our host Abrar was amazing with his character Dr Edwards and kept us immersed in the storyline. The puzzles were hard enough to make us think, but not frustrating. Even when we were a little confused, Abrar was able to give us a nudge in the right direction.

I was visiting family within the area for the holidays when I came across this escape room and I’m glad the first one I got to play was here! My group and I did the Christmas room and although the room is very kid-friendly and would seem rather simple, we actually got stumped on a few parts, just because we were overthinking it. But we finished just in time! Our host, Katalina, did an amazing job at getting into character, which made the whole experience even better. Without a good game master, there wouldn’t be much to the escape room, to be honest. Can’t wait to try out the other rooms the next time I’m in town!!

It was my first time ever playing at an escape room and our host, Katalina, did a really good job at being our game master and really getting us into the story. When we first entered the Overgrown room, we were in awe with how nice the rooms looked. 10/10 would recommend this escape room to everyone!

My third time visiting Escape Room Era. Me and my group played the Overgrown, and we had a blast!! The puzzles were great just like other rooms but with more interesting story and unexpected ending!! Our game master Jeremy was awesome. Funny and very immersive from the beginning to the end. He made sure to go over all the rules/guidelines, and was attentive when we needed him for a couple of code check. I cannot wait to play their new room!!

I did all 3 rooms and they were quite splendid. I'm not normally a fan of horror but the Hide was impressively well made and I absolutely loved it. Sam was the scare actor in my experience and he absolutely killed it!! The other rooms were great experiences that required teamwork and my group and I had a blast going through them. I highly recommend coming here if you haven't already.

I can't say enough about Kristin at Escape Rooms Era in Anaheim,Ca. We were a party of 3 ladies who needed multiple hints through out our attempt to complete the escape objective. We had done a couple before and enjoyed them as well as this one. Lucky for us there was no party scheduled after us so Kristin allowed us to keep going after our hour was expired...we had a blast and felt like we weren't complete dumb dumbs thanks to Kristin! The puzzles were all unique and some were very clever and thoughtfully laid out. What a blast on a rainy Saturday morning. Check them out if you can,you won't be sorry.

Had a great time playing this escape room! It had a unique and artistic feel and really felt like you are in the current era of the game. It definitely lived up to our expectations and didn't disappoint! My friends and I absolutely loved it and can't wait to find other escape rooms around here!

We have completed over 150 escape rooms - what make a room fun is the quality of the puzzles and the puzzle flow. The Ben Franklin theme is a bit different and the game designers did a good job with the puzzle flow. Daniel, our game master, was a thoughtful and enjoyable host. This is a new company and they pulled together an enjoyable experience - certainly there are rooms with higher production values, more elaborate sets and electronic effects...but at the end of the day expensive sets and gadgets don't save bad puzzles. The puzzles in this room were fun - including a couple we have not seen before. The room is somewhat non-linear so our group of 5 had plenty to do and not step over each other. The room is a public room - but they will make the room private if you buy at least four spots...I appreciated this as we make booking public rooms a last resort or something we do when we are traveling and have no choice.

We also experienced one of the best "welcomes" ever - the real "inkwell" pen used to sign the waivers was fun an immersive...and they have some "pre-game" puzzles and locks in the office for warm-up. New players should find this very welcoming. And indeed being offered coffee and water in very rare. We appreciated these extra touches thoughtfully delivered by Daniel.

He left for a few minutes - to get into costume to escort us to the room "in character"...We did not need any hints but presumable Daniel would have entered the room in character to deliver them.

Low lighting is always an issue for us - the lighting could have been better but ultimately did not inhibit our game play as it had in other lowlight rooms -- thanks largely to the enormous collection of electronic candles we have ever seen (how long must it take to turn them on and off each day!) and almost all candles could be moved around to facilitate the investigation. We appreciated both the number and variation of the candles and it was more immersive than giving us a modern-day flashlight. And we were delighted to see that the game designers pulled off a room without resorting to using a black light.

A couple of other thoughts:
- we alway appreciate something to write with and take notes and the journal provided was useful and in keeping with the theme.
- we prefer rooms that don't rely on a critical piece impossibly hidden...the scavenger element of this room was fun without being burdensome
- a couple of new elements made for fun "aha" moments.

We recommend this room for the enjoyable puzzle progression and thoughtful customer service.
