This renovated theatre is a gift to our community. It's comfortable and beautifully restored. You can get food and drinks (yes even beer!!) to enjoy during the show. Thank you CIty of Alameda and all public and private donors that made this possible!! It's terrific.

So if you want to catch a movie before everyone sees it, this is the place. The popcorn is unusually tasty. The theatres are all clean and the seats are in excellent condition. Parking is easy and close by.

The Alameda Theater is right where it should be, on Central Ave, in the middle of the town. Once it would have held a couple hundred people comfortably in a large, purple velvet hung auditorium. Now each of its six small theaters holds a couple...More

Why are the Previews so LOUD? My friends and I always plug out ears during the intros and Ads for films...it's been going on for a long time in different theaters. Are all the kids deaf now from listening to their ear buds up loud?...More

Built in 1928 and restored on 2008, this is a perfect example of the grand movie palaces of the early 20th century. Amazing.

Just a beautiful piece of architecture with first run movies. The lobby is fully restored as well as the main theatre. If your movie isn't in that one, look in anyway.
