Current wedding coordinator and owner are lacking customer service and communication skills for a wedding venue. Prior wedding coordinator seemed to of been the key for a stress free and enjoyable wedding at Viaggio, however she is no longer there. The grounds are beautiful and food was good, unfortunately where was not enough of it. I hope it will be an amazing venue again for wedding's once the owner can recognize their issues and work on getting them resolved.

Amazing day for us, the bride and groom. Our guests had a great time. Amazing location and pictures. However, we have a lot of negatives to highlight....

Pre wedding: Extreme lack of communication, proactiveness, and care from the the wedding coordinator.

Day of: Lack of presence by wedding coordinator and her team. She was screaming at couples, bridal party and parents. We paid for additional services but Viaggio didn't follow through, not even staff/ bartenders, they ran out of food for our buffet.

We visited and was appalled by how rude the owner was. He also outright discriminated against an incredible awesome and charming LGBTQ member (refusing service), which is against the law in California. There are other wineries in the area that practice tolerance and respect for all!

Went to Viaggio winery (along with two other Lodi area wineries) with the Modesto Sunrise Rotary today (5/7//17). The other two wineries were fine but Viaggio was absolutely terrible. The wines? Mediocre at best, and that's being generous, but their mediocre wines were'nt the problem; their terrible service was. The line to pay for out tastings and to order our pizzas was only 6 people long but it took them a full 20 minutes to get to our turn....amazingly SLOW!!!! We were a group of about 20 -we were suppose to be a group of 40 and we had told Viaggio we were going to be a group of 40 in advance so they should have had enough staff on hand to handle us, but they couldn't even handle half of us! Numerous couples in our group never got their food orders and had to demand refunds. Worst of all when we complained about the slow service they tried to say it was our fault by claiming "we're not really a restaurant where we wait on people." Oh REALLY? You took our food orders (which took forever), then after a very long wait you started bringing the food orders out and setting them down in front of people in our group. I call that being waited on! Of course, you didn't bring the right orders to the right people, AND you brought food to people who had ordered last leaving people who and ordered ahead of them wondering where their food was (those people ended up demanding refunds). I was at a table of 8 and asked for napkins because none were brought to our table with our food and the waitress brought out 4 napkins for a table of 8 people. Seriously? Then some jerk who worked there came over with an attitude telling us it's not their job to bring the food out to us or bring us napkins because they hand out buzzers that vibrate when your order is ready and you're suppose to go pick it up, along with any napkins you want. So we pointed out to this jerk that nobody in our party of 20 were issued buzzers and we were TOLD they'd bring the food to our tables where we would we served the wine tastings while we waited for our food to come out....the jerk walked away without apologizing when he heard this. The woman serving our wine tastings couldn't remember who had already been served which tastings and when she skipped serving someone and that person spoke up to inform her that they hadn't been served the previous wine others had been served she said, "Well we're on this wine now" and didn't give those people the wine they were never served! Their tasting portions were also VERY noticeably smaller than the other wineries we went to, so much so in fact that when they'd pour the tiny amount into our glasses the people in our group would look at the amount, then at each other questioningly as if asking, "Seriously? Is this really all they pour?" Believe me, the amount really was tiny enough to make you wonder if they really wanted to sell it to you. Overall, this winery did everything wrong that you could possibly do to a group of Modesto business owners who are going to back to their businesses tomorrow and tell all THEIR customers which winery NOT to go to in Lodi for wine tasting.

My wife and I went to a concert at the winery. It was our first time to the winery. We went to the tasting room and the server tossed a menu in front of us. We asked to taste a White wine. She said "oh" "we only have two". She did not try to sell us anything. She just stood there until we picked one. She poured the wine and then she took off to a back room. So now we are standing there waiting. Another employee came up and he tried to help us. He was a nice young guy. We told him that we were abandoned by our server. He did his best to rectify the situation. She finally came back and served us another wine. She was just very short with us, as if we didn't belong. We had to drag all of the information out of her about the wines. I have never seen anything like it. I have been to many fine wineries. This place had the potential to be great, but it failed miserably. We did not feel welcome at all. I will never return. I will make it a point to let my friends know, so they will not patronize this place.

Important lesson for Viaggio Winery Tasting employees-never assume
by the looks of a group that they are not knowledgeable or experts in their wine even if it is later in the afternoon 😚. Tasting room employee didn't even want to go through the motion of tasting
Wine flight just suggested buying a bottle. Hmmm...then treated one woman in our party rudely 😳. We asked to buy a specific varietal by the bottle and got back to our hotel
And realized it wasnt even the correct varietal. First time that has
EVER happened to me in 20+years of wine tasting. Although the grounds here are pretty (the only reason I gave it two stars) the winery might want to seriously look at their "front line" tasting employees for re evaluation of the PR they are giving their winery. Extremely disappointed
in my tasting experience here which is a huge bummer as we finished an amazing wine tasting day in Lodi with a bad taste in our palate here😕

Love is love! Had booked this venue and had a wedding date of 9/26/2020. Had booked the photographer and hair/makeup and had the whole Pinterest board set up. The reputation of this place now left such a bad taste in our mouths we canceled our wedding. We explained to them that we have all orientations of people coming to our wedding and we want everyone to feel welcome... when you google Viaggio only negative headlines come up! We don’t want to start our married life at a place with such negativity. We explained to them how the reputation is tarnished and that’s not what we signed up for.. and we received an email back saying “gays are welcome” and “they wouldn’t be giving us our 3,250$ deposit back”. Terrible terrible business practices!!

We loved it here! We came for a tasting, and stayed for a couple of bottles and live music. We enjoyed all their wines, particularly their sparkling peach and the sangiovese (we bought 2 to enjoy at the estate). They had live music on Sunday and also have pizza, oysters, cheese etc available. They are located right by the water, and they have a huge indoor and outdoor area with plenty of seating. The staff was wonderful, and we had the best time here! We meant to just stop in to taste, but we stayed for a couple of hours! Will definitely be back and highly recommend this place for larger groups as well.

This is one of the top winery locations to visit while wine tasting in the Lodi region. The location is on the Mokelumne River. The grounds are spectacular.

Have been here 3 times. Once with Harvest Hosts. Very beautiful grounds to walk around. Very pretty setting, and wine bar. They were harvesting olives, to be turned into oil the second time we were there. Lots of weddings on weekends. FUn stop.
