Golf course was well maintained. Two greens were thin but the other 16 were full of grass and putted well. The sand traps were raked and the course was mowed at a playable height. The staff was friendly and helpful. The golf carts were old but got us around the course. The course has a really nice layout, some tight... More

The people at Auburn Links are very good. They are friendly and helpful. I found them to be very pleasant to be around. The Fairways on the course were good. They were evenly cut and in good shape. You could expect a decent lie anywhere in the fairway. ON THE OTHER HAND, the bunkers were more mud than sand and... More

This course was absolutely in the worst shape of any course I have ever played. I actually called the week before and asked about the course condition as I was bringing a foursome from 500 miles away and didn't want to play a bad course as this one often is. I was told the course was in good shape and... More

I've been playing golf for over 40 years, many courses many states, all types of courses across the spectrum of public and private. Hands down the worst course I've ever played. The greens, hard to put in words, just un-puttable!!! The course should have paid us to play there. One person working in the pro shop made getting started difficult... More

My name is Fred Holton and I am the PGA Head Professional at Auburn Links. I would challenge all the bad reviews to try the course now. Yes we had our issues early on due to a severe winter but our greens have recovered nicely. I will never make excuses for the facility that I work at and our staff... More

I have been interested in playing this course for a while and it was easy to get a tee time. Now I know why. This course is in very poor shape and the ghastly greens are not near worth the amount of green to play the course. Way overrated with no memorable holes other than number one and that is... More

It's sad, really. I literally live across the street from this place, but I would rather get in my car and drive several miles to play another course. It's really a shame that I can see the putting green out my front door, but I don't want to play the course because they just take such poor care of it.... More

I used to play Auburn Links years ago when it was an outstanding golf course. I played today for the first time in many years and I was astounded and the degradation of this course since it was purchased by Tom Hayley in 2002. Tom Hayley is well-know in Auburn for his cheap and shoddy developments, especially along South College... More

Best way to attend an SEC game is to have a game of golf before the tailgate and golfing at Auburn Links is the best way to enjoy the day. The course is convenient (just off I-85). Check-in went smooth, good tips from the Marshall to start us off. Fairways and greens were in great shape. Carts ran smooth and... More
