Close to Auburn so easy travel to trails for hiking and mountain biking. Lots of options for trails including a hike to a waterfall where the rocks are fun to explore. The lake allows fishing, swimming, and kayaking.

Just a few minutes (5-10) off the interstate, or from campus. Fantastic moutain biking trail, nice creeks and falls to rock hop and hike. Good place for a picnic. Camping sites are also well maintained. Have been visiting this place for 40 years.

Would not have known about this place except that found a brochure when we stopped at the Alabama visitor center on I 85 for a rest break and a break from the driving rain. Rolled on down the road to the Auburn exit, found the...More

The new hiking and bike trails are a hidden gem at Chewacla. Convenient access from I-85 but within 3 miles of AU Campus plus camping space.

You can hike 1.5 miles or drive close to walk five minutes to waterfall. Great little honey hole! Would love to come back in summer!

Beautiful little 1930s park, everything built out of stone. Pretty lake, dirt bike trails for the adventurous, waterfall trails for those who just want a great walk. Campsites are large, wooded, peaceful. Bath houses clean even though they are old. And lots of things to...More

Clean and nice enough with plenty of well marked trails. Diving board also looked fun. It does cost per person to get into the park.

Take a little time to get away from it all. This park is excellent for hiking and mountain biking and there is a waterfall to boot! What a lovely place to spend a few hours or a weekend.
