pretty place, great for a walk, dog walk, (muddy water) dog swimming, and more...

a little pricey for a short stay but a nice stop close to town to enjoy the falls and outdoors (even at 106 degrees heat index that day)

Its a park! Not much to say. Enjoyed a day at the lake, but the paddle boats and canoes look worn. The lady at the shack to register for the equipment seemed a little upset. The playground area could use newer equipment. Poor children were burned sliding down the run-down metal slides. Overall, the park and trails seemed average, but... More

Enjoyed our hike under the shady trees, then, had a nice swim in the lake. Lots of camping and picnic areas, a playground, and a small store near the park entrance.

The fee to enter is $4 for adults $2 for children. There is s swimming area, picnic area with grills, walking trail, camping site, and waterfall. We didn't get to the see the waterfall, but I heard that it is beautiful. The swimming area is not that good to me. The water is too dark. The campsite is very very... More

If you're looking for somewhere to let the kids run and play Chewacla is a great option. They also have cabin rentals and this is a fun place to stay when the weather is cool.

I have camped at Chewacla and really enjoyed my time there, but I have never rented a cabin. The hiking is excellent for beginners and families; it's nothing super tedious that children could not handle. The waterfall is a great sight and you can swim at the bottom of it. Lovely place!

I LOVE the outdoors which is why I LOVE Alabama. Chewacla is quite nice though very small. It is not far from my front door and the hikes are decent. I have not tried renting a cabin yet, but I hear they are great but you MUST reserve one EARLY during football season!!! The few staff I have come in... More

The water is so crisp and clean and beautifully cascades over the rocks. One of the lookouts is THE BEST place to take sunset pictures. Great hiking for the area, one of my favorite places to visit when in Auburn. It's a great place to go to "unplug" from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

The park it's self was great. Nice lake for swimming, beautiful waterfall and playground for the kiddos. We rented a primitive campsite for 2 nights & the fee covered admission to the park. This is really nice, a lot of places still charge to get in or a parking fee. We rented a paddle boat & had a great time.... More
