Museum has been in Athens a long time but we knew nothing about it. We took my vertarn brother-in-law and his wife. We were welcomed by other veterans who took a lot of time with my brother-in-law. Time was limited but the visit was outstanding.

We took in the Museum last week. It honors local Veterans and celebrates their service, bravery and sacrifice. Especially interesting was the Korean War exhibit and letters home from POW's who unfortunately did not return. We also enjoyed looking at the Viet Nam era uniforms...More

We have been to the museum several times, they have a great collection of military items from several different eras. If you are in the Athens area and you like military items then you need to visit. Great people working there and very knowledgeable.

This Veterans museum is located in an old Depot. I was really impressed at the vast collection of memorabilia that they have. I appreciate the attention paid to female veterans, sometimes that gets forgotten. You have to visit and listen to the Veterans that volunteer...More

What a lovely little museum! They have done an awesome job of displaying their military memorabilia. I especially liked the WWII era kitchen. I prefer this type of museum rather than the new ones that tell you the story and have just a few items...More
