This place isn't easy to find, but once you arrived, you have a nice view on the vineyards. It was rainy weather and the parking place was rather muddy.
For the wine tasting, you can make your choice out of 6 different flights each containing 4 different wine samples (2 oz pours). We choose 3 different flights, but it was rather disappointing that the 'white & semi flight' and the 'red, white & blush' both contained 2 of the same wines. The quality of the wines is rather average. You can find better quality wines in Alabama. With the wines, we also took a 2 cheese board. You can pick the cheese you like from a wide choice of cheeses presented in a large fridge. The cheeses you choose are cut in pieces and nicely presented on a board accompanied with different fruits and nuts. You can sit outside, covered in a tent or uncovered. The staff is super friendly and it was a pleasant experience.

We had fun doing our wine tasting. We didn't try the pizza, but it looked good and there was a line to eat. The staff is great and knowledgeable. The reason it's a 4 star and not a 5 star is they need a more separated place for the tasting. I felt like I was in the way of people who were shopping in the gift area while they waited to eat. I was also confused about where to go for the tasting. Once we went into the tasting area I was unsure which line to get in.
We will definitely go back and maybe try the pizza next time.

We stopped by for lunch Tuesday after hiking At Noccalula Falls, only to discover they served their amazing pizza’s only on the weekends. Initially we were so bummed until we found out we could order a charcuterie board with our wine slushy. This board was so yummy, beautifully created and easily fed all 3 of us. Jules Berta is the BEST surprise! Pizza, Charcuterie & Wine Slushy for the win, 5 stars all around!!

Just Almost Perfect! The only complaints is the fact the picnic table set to low. For someone with a handicap, it is difficult to get up from the seat. The parking situation, but since we had got there somewhat late, I think we were lucky to get the parking space we did. The choices on wine, wine slushes, is fantastic! The pizza is terrific. Even remembering the ones we had now, makes my mouth water . 90% of the seating is outside in the open. We went when there were light showers and sat under the extended awing.

I make a stop here almost every time I come to Albertville/Boaz. Their wines are good and the lady who runs the store is very nice. It is definitely worth a look for anyone who likes to visit vineyards. Small but informative.

When you first come upon the vineyard it looks like your typical house with an outbuilding for a tractor or ATVs. However, drive around to the parking lot and you can see the rows of grape vines which are lovingly cared for by Jules and his family. Becky welcomes you to the shop/tasting room with her son and this is where the experience starts. Becky and Jules (jr) start to explain their wines and what goes into them. Becky tells me it started as a hobby for her father which her family continue as a hobby and business. Uniqueness goes into their process and even the wine labels. Commissioning local artists and even her son to add that difference to their wine which sets them apart from the big wine makers. I would highly recommend "Bullfrog" which is light and flavorful with hints of lemon as my choice of their white. For those who prefer reds then pick the Syvaner which is a blend of four grapes to make this fine red worthy of anyones wine cellar. So, make this your first stop on the Alabama wine trail and experience the southern hospitality of Jules Berta vineyards.

We went there for a Chamber of Commerce sponsored wine tasting and chocolate pairing. The wines were good and interesting, and the setting was perfect. We were outdoors under a grape arbor. All in all, a very pleasureable experience.

Jules Berta Winery in Albertville is on the Alabama Wine Trail – and it’s not to be missed! I believe that Jules’s dry wines – Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet & Cabernet Franc would easily compete with any Napa Valley wines! Just talking about this wine and the Jules Berta Winery reminds me of the 2008 movie “Bottle Shock”. It’s a great movie if you’re a wine aficionado – even if you’re not!
The Jules Berta Winery itself is very special -- from the stylish corrugated steel Tasting Bar to the elegant (and very fun!) gift selections starting with clever shirts and numerous wine-related goodies. This is a first rate winery where you’ll feel at home the minute you walk in the door! They even offer a yummy cheese selection for a picnic that’s hard to resist!
Now that I’ve expressed my wine preferences, you can feel very confident that Jules’s talents extend throughout the varietals. These include a wide encompassing range of sweet wines including a variety of Muscadine wines and even a Chocolate Merlot Dessert Wine called “The Love Shack”!
