Lovely campground

We just spent 4 nights in the Pike Lake Unit of the Forest. We have a 32' travel trailer and our site (#29) was spacious with a large approach for easy back-in. The site has... read more

I have camped at almost all the Kettle Moraine camping areas and I am happy to say the experience has been great, but I am a bit disappointed with the Whitewater camp ground. The site itself was very nice, but the pit toilets we absolutely disgusting. (Very ripe) I was scheduled to stay for two days but could only manage... More

The camping site was fine, nothing too exciting no shade but served its purpose. However the bathrooms at long lake in the 700 section were worse than a bar bathroom on a weekend. The floors were so slippery without signs. No toilet paper. Hair everywhere. No papertowels. It was simply gross.

We just spent 4 nights in the Pike Lake Unit of the Forest. We have a 32' travel trailer and our site (#29) was spacious with a large approach for easy back-in. The site has electric. No water in the site, but there is potable water at the dump station about 100 yards away. The campground is clean and in... More

We came for a last minute camping trip and really enjoyed ourselves. There was so much to do we stayed another day at the southern unit campground. The kids enjoyed birdwatching with the ranger, swimming at the beach, and exploring the campground. The highlight so far is the nature hike! We saw frogs, tadpoles, birds, a huge turtle, turkeys, chipmunks,... More

I've done several different trail runs in the forest, it is a wonderful place to run. Saw a cougar there one time!

Really great place to winter camp. Lots of solitude, birds, and other wildlife. The Ice Age Trail is an awesome Midwest hiking destination; we loved the rolling hills and technical descents... Highly recommended at any time, but gorgeous in the middle of a wintry snow storm.

Love that campground - lots of pinetrees, paved roads for children to ride their bikes. Campsites are secluded from each other = more privacy. very quiet and not far from various hiking trails. Will definitely go back!

We've been going to the beach at Whitewater Lake for years, but had never really used much else of the park. After a last minute cancellation on a canoeing trip we decided to check out the campground, and we were so glad we did! We got a group campsite and really had a blast. Large site, far away from the... More
