This park and waterfalls are georgeous. You have to drive a bit out of your way off WV 310, but the signs are well marked. Visit the old mill at the waterfalls. I hiked several trails on my visit and got a good workout. Some parts can be a bit steep.

The state park is at the end of a residential neighborhood with narrow streets and street parking. Once you get to the park, there is a fairly large set of parking lots that serve as the trail heads. About 100 yards from the parking lot across a very short bridge that takes you over the railroad tracks there are falls... More

If you are in the area I highly recommend driving to Valley Falls State Park. I love to visit waterfalls and hope to eventually see all of the ones in WV. These were definitely worth the drive. They are not the tallest falls, by far, but they are very wide and rapid. There are a couple of smaller trickles but... More

My sister and I decided to go State Park Hoping. I had some trouble finding Valley Falls, the Ranger was very helpful when I called. This is an easy walk, no big hills to climb if you dont want to. The Park is well maintained . A great get away .

Finding this place is an adventure in and of itself! I could sit and look at these falls all day. It was so peaceful and relaxing spending time at this beautiful place. There were two family photo sessions going on while we were there. We missed the leaves changing color but it was still a great find!

My family loves this park. We often visit to hike the trails. There are so many of varying lengths and degrees of difficulty making an excursion with young kids much easier. As always the playground is a perfect ending to a fun nature hike. And of course the falls are breathtaking.

Views of the falls on the Tygart River are breathtaking! Rushing water cutting through solid rock! My granddaughters and i visited this park and declared it our favorite so far. We spent so much time at the falls and surrounding rocks that we only had time for two of the trails which were great too. Tough walk back up though.... More

It wasn't easy to find, even our hotel nearby did not know it existed. Found it on the WV state park web site. Serenity, beauty, and solitude combine for an unforgettable day.

About 20 minutes down lots of winding roads and feeling like it's well off of the interstate (use your GPS or other turn-by-turn navigation app), Valley Falls State Park is nicely secluded. So much so, don't be surprised if you lose your cell phone signal. There's plenty of parking at the park, however there's no concessions other than two drink... More

Another great WV park. It's perfect for a family and even a family with younger kids. The falls give some great viewing that everyone will enjoy. They offer a mix of hiking trails, tons of picnic tables for your family snack time, and a great playground that was a huge hit! A park that offers a little something for the... More
