We enjoyed using DC Circulator during our recent trip to Washington, DC. Our group included three seniors and we got a senior discount (regular fare $1.00/ senior fare $.50) each time we hopped on the bus. We saved money versus buying a Hop-on-Hop Off bus...More

We used the DC circulator the entire weekend and it was easy to navigate, cheap, and very helpful. If you get a SMART card at the Metro you can pay $1 and get two hours of usage on the buses. They are clean and the...More

These bus services have just recently started in DC. They operate every 10 minutes cover nearly all the main sights including the quaint area of Georgetown which is very oldy wordly. Whilst there is NO commentary or open deck for 80p a journey it's a...More

Living in NYC, I thought Phila's Phlash bus (circles main tourist areas) was a great idea. The DC Circulator is even better - newer, more comfy buses, runs every 10 minutes all year, covers a very large loop starring at Union Station. A wonderful addition...More

We never figured out how we were supposed to know the upcoming stops. Since we were unfamiliar with everything, it would have been nice to know what stop we were coming up to.

We spotted the bus whilst out one day and did some research on line as there was no leaflets in our hotel about it . We were intending to book a hop on hop off tour which is usually $50 + but the Circulator has...More

The smartrip card is valid for both the metro and bus services. You can get the cards at any metro station as well as refilling them there. I don’t know what a metro card is, other than another name for the smartrip card.
