I love an old church when you walk in you can feel the prayer. Small church has mass every day at noon. Opens at 730 for prayer. The beautiful statues the angels that hold the holy water on each side. I had never seen that before.

St. Patrick's Church is the oldest parrish in DC and was founded in 1794! It is a lovely place to visit. St Patrick's Catholic Church is located between G and F at the corner of 10th St NW and G. It is 2 short blocks from Metro Center and 1 block from Gallery Place. There is no fee, so FREE to come inside and look at all the beautiful interior. You just to make sure you aren't arriving during a mass service. You will find beautiful stained glass windows, mosaics, paintings, and statues. The architecture is stunning! The pictures online do not show the true beauty of the church. We stopped in because we happened to see the lovely building as we walked past. I love churches and wanted to look inside. I was so happy that we stopped! There were no crowds. I highly recommend that you take the time to visit St Patrick's Catholic Church.

I briefly stopped here and said my prayers. Located near where my office was, this was the church where I used to attend mass during my lunch breaks. It is small and decorations are simple.

Took some pictures before leaving.

Impressive Catholic Church with a wonderful music ministry. My wife and I were so impressed that this parish, that it will drive our future hotel decisions for weekend trips to DC. Enthusiastically recommended!

Went to church, and while we enjoyed the serenity and beauty of the church, the poor acoustics was quite noticeable and detracted from the experience. Given its historic nature, they should really get and expert to improve the acoustics so as to improve the sacred experience. It is a gem in downtown DC, but if you cannot hear what is being said, not so great to visit for Mass.

We liked to visit a church when we’re traveling & this is just few blocks from our hotel. Nice ceiling & glass window design. A block from a subway train station.

The gargoyle looks like the one from the original Ghostbusters! Awesome looking structure mixed in a modern city. Just up the block from Fords Theater worth a look.

St. Patrick's Church is the oldest parish in Washington, D.C. Founded in 1794. We visited this church twice, it is a very beautiful church with lots of history, in fact
Father Walter of St Patrick's was especially outspoken in the defense of Mary Surratt, a parish member who was convicted of complicity in Lincoln's assassination. The pastor stood beside her on the gallows at her execution.

A beautiful church to pray. It had a sense of warmth and hope. I truly liked this church. It had many statutes of religion. I wish they had more places. It's a beautiful parish that was healing inside. I highly recommend it to anyone who likes architecture or wants to pray.
