Marsha is an amazing tour guide! She was great at tailoring information for our whole group. The food is an incredible selection of local culinary delights! This was our first time in DC so thanks for the wonderful memories.

We had the perfect weather for this easy walking tour around the neighborhood. It was fun to learn some local history and enjoy some delicious foods. The guide, Shannon, made it personal and conveyed her pleasure in sharing historical tidbits and local cuisine. Thanks to Dave for ensuring foods were perfectly timed for our arrival.

This tour was a no show. Arrived at the specified spot on time and no one was there. Waited for 10 minutes and then contacted operator. No answer from operator. A couple of hours later there was a notice of refund. Right now with COVID, everything in DC requires reservations and timed entry. If this was going to be canceled, we would have really appreciated a heads up in order to make alternate plans. Do not recommend.

Hi there Pfreher1 - We want to apologize for the inconvenience of waiting for a tour that was already cancelled. That must have been frustrating though am grateful that you received a full refund quickly due to unforeseen COVID circumstances. As the operator we informed VIATOR with time before your experience that should have gotten to you with time for you to plan...see that it did not happen here and would like to get down to the bottom of this with you. The resturants and eateries in our circuit are attempting to get back to the new normal and were asked to cancel. We informed VIATOR, where you purchased your admission, to refund your ticket before the experience. I’m not quite sure why your refunded admission was offered after as that is absolutely not what we did in this situation. With this new information our hope is that you understand where we’re coming from. Please trust we were just as bummed to hear this news. Would be glad to offer you recommendations of things to do in the city as we are a reputable food tour company and knowledge source supporting travelers and locals for the last eight years. COVID has been extremely challenging for us and please know we’re doing everything we can to get back on our feet and bring our clients the epic experience that we were known for. Sending warm and safe vibes your way to you and yours - please reach out to us so we can see how we can best help.

Such a fun and organized experience! During Covid my team at work was looking for something interactive and stress free to do virtually with each other. Mangia laid out everything perfectly from the planning, to ingredients, to moderating a great cooking experience with a superb chef! Everyone's Gnocchi with Cream Sauce came out divine.

I've been on a lot of food tours all over the world, and this is definitely one of the best. Our guide was Dave, and he was fun and knowledgeable. I loved that he had a personal connection with a lot of the shop owners/employees, so it truly felt like we were getting a special and personal visit at each stop. There was a nice variety of food items, and it seems like each location was chosen with purpose. Perhaps this is the glutton in me, but I felt that this tour didn't have quite as much food as some others I've been on. Other than that, I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great way to eat and explore like a local.
