Just like many other 8th graders last year, my son's DC trip was cancelled due to Covid restrictions. Custom Tours of DC designed a two day trip for my son and me. The idea was to try to recreate nearly the same itinerary. Our experience was beyond what I had expected. First, we learned so much interesting history from our tour guide Dave! Many thanks to him for making history exciting by sharing fun stories and interesting knowlegde of all the people, places, events that we had the chance to experience. Second, we were able to see almost the same sights which would have taken us 3-4 days with the school trip. When our day was done with Dave, he would recommend other sights for us to tour in the evening on our own. Our driver, Che (apologies if I have misspelled his name) knew exactly how to navigate DC - which means he must be an aerospace engineer and a cartographer! Third, without realizing it, we planned the trip during the National Cherry Blossom Festival! The tour company even arranged great weather for us!!! OK, so that third item was luck, but everything else Custom Tours of DC did was beyond my expectations and we had a truly wonderful time!

We are DC locals but we had family in town for our micro-wedding and we decided to schedule a bus tour of the monuments. Our tour guide, Bob, and driver, Long, picked us up right outside our apartment and gave us an amazing three-hour tour (shorter time frame due to our schedule for the day) that was packed with interesting facts and amazing stories. The bus was impeccable and Long was a very safe driver who provided wonderful company for a member of our group who had stayed on the bus during stops. In addition to being extremely knowledgeable, Bob was funny and kind. We had a phenomenal time and it was the perfect way to see some sights around town. Honestly, we're thinking of doing this again in the future to see different monuments and learn more about our city. Thank you Long and Bob!

Our tour was awesome! We took visiting relatives for a trip to see the essentials in Washington DC, and Custom Tours did a wonderful job. From the booking to the tour itself, Custom Tours provided a great experience for us. The driver was very professional and we rode in a clean, cool, and comfortable vehicle. We also felt very safe, with the driver and guide wearing face coverings. Bob, our tour guide, was incredibly knowledgeable and such a pleasure to spend the day with. We designated him our tour guide for life. We can't wait for the next opportunity to tour with this company.

What a FANTASTIC experience we had with Custom Tours. Our tour guide Bob and private driver Hirun took us to see everything we wanted to see plus things we didn't even know about. Full of knowledge and fun stories, this tour was both educational as well as a plain good time for our family of 4 with 2 boys (ages 14 and 10). Bob knew our 14 year old had missed his class trip to Washington DC due to COVID cancellation and he made sure our son felt like he hadn't missed out on anything. From monuments, statues, memorials to the White House and Capitol, we saw and learned about everything. Bob even had recommendations on how to navigate timed entry tickets to some of the museums. We would never do DC any other way! BEST 3 hours! And to Bob, our boys are shy and didn't ask too many questions, but boy did they repeat back a ton of history they learned from you not only over the rest of our weekend, but also to their grandparents when we got home. Highly recommend for groups of any shape and size!

Don't let sticker shock keep you from this experience! We booked a night time tour for 3 for 3 hours. During our 3 hours with our wonderful guide, Scott, we were able to visit at least 7 sights! Scott was very knowledgable and gave us some interesting tidbits of knowledge along the way! If we had tried to navigate the city and find parking in those 3 hours we would have MAYBE seen 3 sites if they were in close proximity to each other and would have been exhausted from walking. We were picked up promptly by our team in a very nice new black Escalade. Our driver, Yaniv, was very safe and stayed focused on getting us safely around town and waited with the vehicle to let us out at each stop. Scott pointed out many wonderful things about our nations capital and was able to tap into my 10 yr old son's interests and connected with him on a personal level. The money we spent on this tour was worth EVERY PENNY! I highly recommend this tour group!

From the first contact to the follow up after our trip, Adam and his team were great! We used Custom Tours for our 7th/8th grade trip to D.C. Adam catered the trip to our group and we were able to cram in so much in our short time. Our tour guide, Mr. Map was full of energy and stories. He helped make the trip so memorable for our students and chaperones. Having used multiple different tour agencies for our class trip to DC, I would highly recommend going with Custom Tours! They were able to respond to our needs and work our schedule around some special events we had planned.

Adam was so easy to work with, he answered all my questions promptly leaving me with peace of mind before the big night. We had Ivan as our driver and Monte was our tour guide. Monte was so knowledgable and friendly, He truly knew his stuff and was quick to answer any questions that came up. My entire team was so impressed and for a lot, this was their first trip to DC. To have Monte lead the group made us feel that this tour was a once in a lifetime experience.

Russ was amazing. He is so knowledgeable, affable, and efficient. I highly recommend this as the first day of your trip to get an overview of the city. Having a driver and a guide is key - you can cover so much territory. He also gave us a tour of the Air and Space Museum - he was able to show us all the highlights efficiently while capturing the attention of 3 young children easily.

Adam and his team are outstanding! We went to DC to celebrate the life of my father and attend his funeral at Arlington National Cemetery. We thought it would be helpful for the family to visit the WW2, Korea and Vietnam memorials to honor the wars he fought in plus take in the other historical sights and monuments around DC. We also had Adam's team take us to Arlington for the funeral, give us a short history/tour of Arlington and deliver the 17 members of the family back to our VRBO's. It was the best decision we made as Bob - our tour guide gave us a wonderful, insightful tour of memorials and Arlington and arranged a seamless entry into Arlington for the funeral. Our Drivers - Leon and Long - were fantastic. The vehicles were spotless and having someone drive us to all the events was fantastic. Highly recommend Custom Tours of DC!

We booked a six hour tour of DC to take in the monuments and Arlington. We had the benefit of David our tour guide who was professional knowledgeable and very accommodating when it came to my wife's issues with a sore foot.
Unfortunately it was very warm when we took the tour, and so we elected not to alight at a number of the monuments. This had a good side effect however in that we were able to go to Fort Stephens (where Lincoln was under fire from Confederate Troops commanded by Jubal A. Early) and Ford's Theatre, where Lincoln was assassinated.
I would highly recommend Custom Tours of DC. Their administration, paperwork and delivery were all first class, as was our tour guide (and our driver) and this was money very well spent.

Hi Christine, Yes our tours include both a driver and a tour guide, two people so that the licensed guide will accompany you away from the vehicle outside at memorials or perhaps inside at the Library of Congress, for example.

Hello! My husband and I will be in DC for his Graduation the first week of May. We only have a day and a half to go sight seeing and so I wanted to make the most of the time we have. We are wanting to do a moonlight tour of the monuments on Friday evening the day of his Graduation and then an a long tour the next day on Saturday. I am really wanting to see Arlington National Cemetery and the Holocaust Museum and Washington Monument in addition to the other sights but I don't if we are seeing the monuments at night, we thought a customized tour would be the better way to go so we don't overlap and get the most of our time. Is this something that would be possible with your tour and if so, how would that work and what would the cost be? Thanks in advance, Debbie

The custom tours are very accommodating in setting a schedule that will show you the sites you wish to see. If you have a large group the pricing is reasonable, but I don’t know pricing for just a couple or small group. If you go to their website you might get an idea or send an email. They answer without any pressure.
