Our tour guides name was DeAndre. We were highly impressed by his knowledge of African American history, his overall wit and ability to elucidate the sometimes complexities of history to our level of understanding. He always kept time, ensured everyone's safety, gave recommendations to several eateries that we could try, and was very approachable. My husband and I learned so much and if we ever decide to take a tour like this again, we would definitely try to get the same tour guide if possible.…

Very informative and fun. Our tour guide DR was very knowledgeable and engaging. Each stop he clearly explain the "game plan" and what his team will be doing. That helped keep everyone on the same page. He explained his way throughout the tour in a storytelling manner that not only kept everyone listening but also cause the tour to have some form of a dialog between DR and everyone else on board. One little discomfort, our tour bus 030, needs some serious rear suspension work. The squeaking and noise from the rear suspension was very distracting at times, especially when you sit directly above the rear axle and is trying to pay attention the the tour guide. Overall it was a great experience and I will definitely come back again. …

This was a great tour! I had never done anything like this, so I was a bit nervous. My kids are 10 and 14, so holding their attention is not always easy. Dion was filled with amazing stories, and historical facts including all the “13’s”. The driver Tom and Dion were a great team. I never write reviews, but thought I should for this experience. Company was very organized, and they took care of us on a hot DC day! My advise, arrive 10-15 mins early, and wear comfortable clothes and shoes! It made our DC trip successful!…
