Needs some upgrades, but still a good place to catch a game

For anyone living and working in DC, you might as well come catch a game, especially in the summer (hockey)

The Verizon Center is in a good location. It is in downtown Washington, DC. The center is located at a major Metro station and is near Chinatown. The arena is located on the same block as the exit from the Metro. Thus, location is great and easy to reach, using the Metro, from any section of the city. Our seats... More

We were so happy to get VERY GOOD seats.....close to the action, etc. However, my seat was badly torn, cup holders were missing or very dirty. Somebody isn't checking fan seating very well. For the prices we are paying....WE THE FANS deserve better.

Last time I went to Verizon was to see Sir Paul McCartney. Awesome concert. The man doesn't stop for 3 solid hours. Never takes a break. Amazing! He still sounds great. Our seats were a little high and the sound quality was a little off, but we got used to it. Light show was cool and he had a surprising... More

Nice arena, clean, well laid out. Close to China Town and lots of restaurants, parking can be an adventure.

The Verizon Center is a typical sports arena. The concession stands in the perimeter are typical sports-arena options like popcorn and hot dogs. Barbra Streisand and popcorn? Many concerts would be better suited to a concert hall. The most annoying part of this event is when they tell the audience explicitly that photography of any kind is STRICTLY prohibited. People... We went to the Verizon Center for the Paul McCartney concert. Police had closed off the street in front of the entrances next to the subway - we stood in line in the street less that 10 min and zipped right thru security-they checked all bags - we had none. The security personnel were polite. All the food & drink... More

We have been to this venue for concerts as well as sports. Most recently we had the unique pleasure to experience Barbara Streisand live. She was awesome! Access via Uber or China Town metro stop makes the Verizon Center easily accessible from any where. All the seats provide a great view, but we prefer sections 105, 106' and 107 for... More

18000 people can fit in this indoor sports arena. However, it was the venue for a concert by Barbra Streisand. Crowd control was efficient, but in a wheelchair with that many people around, I was shocked. The outside ring of boutiques and custom food offerings was impressive. The attendants were super n helpful circumnavigation us almost 300 degrees from our... More

This was my first time at the Verizon Center. I drove from Philly to see the Summer Sixteen show on 8/20. My sister and I had bought tix last minute and did not realized how limited the view was from sec420 row M. We met a guy who was working sec432/433. He directed us to guest services to see if...
