We were so excited to finally see the show in person as we do not ever vote straight party lines. This show was clearly one sided and with all the material on both sides- it was weak. Will not recommend unless you plan on voting...More

We have been going to their Lyric Show in Stuart FL every year thus far, but will no more. We’re disappointed for the first time. What I loved about Capital Steps was their ability to laugh at all sides of politics. They’ve thrown that away...More

Having lived in DC for many years, I have attended--and enjoyed--the Capitol Steps several times. What a disappointment to take family members (for their first visit) over the recent Christmas holiday! I found it to be one-sided, and rather than funny, often mean spirited. Probably...More

This year Dec 31, 2018 the Cap Steps went way down hill. They were extremely biased against our conservatives. Don't go to the show. Seems they are letting their liberal feelings overtake objectivity. The show was disgraceful to say the least.

I have seen the Capital Steps show 7 times previously, and always enjoyed it. This Dec 31, 2018 performance was one sided and filled with sarcasm rather than humor. Few laughs. Don't waste your money on this show.

Great for pictures, children and people in shape, like runners and step climbers this is a great place for them. The other people just do a few steps.

If you are Moderate, Republican, Conservative or a Trump supporter don’t give this group another nickel. The whole show is supporting Liberal politics. Totally inappropriate for teens with inappropriate topics.

We go to see the Capitol Steps at least once per administration with our first during Clinton. Well, here we were during the age of Trump and he provided plenty of fodder for laughs. Excellent cast and very spacious venue in the Reagan Building. Be...More

I didn't think it was all that funny, but clearly I am in the minority. I will say that it poked fun at both Democrats and Republicans, so it was not skewed much one way or the other.

Dinner Suggestion near Ronald Reagan Bldg (13 Replies)
I'm going to see the Capitol Steps at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center while in DC. I'm looking for recommendations for a moderately priced restaurant (avg $20 or less total per person) for dinner in the vicinity. I'm open to all types of food. Any suggestions?

Any Restaurants Near The "Capitol Steps" Show? (6 Replies)
Hey Everybody, Even though I'm techinically a local, I've only been in the area for two years and I haven't spent that much time in the city. I was thinking of taking my lady out one Saturday night to see the Capitol Steps, a musical satire troupe that plays at the Reagan International Trade Building at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW. I was also hoping to go out for a nice dinner beforehand. I see that Aria Trattoria is in the same complex but I'm not so enthusiastic about the menu. What...More

Can anyone help with this? We are looking for a place to have a bite to eat before the 7:30 performance of the Capitol Steps. We are visitors to DC and staying in an apartment which is nowhere near the Federal .triangle metro stop. Help please!!

Del Frisco's across the street could be a good choice. Within two or three blocks you also have Central, Chef Geoff's, and the newly opened Boss Sheperd's. Any of them would be good.
