Fun evening very fitting to the location

30some years in existence and most people that have lived here a while don't know about it! It was a fun night! Definitely something to try once if not once a year!

The Capitol Steps is a very funny and creative comedy troupe that specializes in political satire. No current politician, topic or situation goes untouched. The skits are kept fresh and up to date on current news stories. We laughed out loud thought out the show. This could easily be worth a visit on trips to DC because the show constantly... More

If you keep up with politics and have an appreciation for satirical humor, this is the show for you. The talented cast of 5 or 6 gives it and takes it to all domestic and international politicians, regardless if they are left, right or center. I practically died laughing when a shirtless "Vladimir Putin" came out and started strutting his... More

If you want to take in some quality comedy, without the vulgar language, this is the place. Up to the minute political humor, incorporated into songs and skits. Many of the impersonations are hysterical. Nice theater without a bad seat.

Enjoyed the show, it was very funny. Nice theater, comfortable seats. Tip: leave yourself some extra time to get into the building through security/metal detectors.

Our family, including college students, young adults, middle agers and grandparents, had a fun evening at Capitol Steps this weekend. Let's face it, there's a lot of political material these days, and we all thought they did a good job and poking fun at all of the major figures. The auditorium is large and comfortable. If you have people with... More

It won't be a blow-away performance, but it will be a solid, fun night. Do not go if you are easily offended, as they take shots at all manner of political topics, with both left and right being made fun of. But you do need to be reasonably current on the political happenings otherwise a lot of the jokes will... More

We visited in October 2015 just as the Primaries were heating up. Funny! They clearly update the show every week since current events were being taken into account. There isn't a bad seat in the 600 person auditorium and it was very comfortable. Wine and cocktails are available before and during the intermission. The audience really gets into it and... More

This should be a must do when you are in Washington DC! The show changes depending on the newest political scandal. The guy who was President Obama had his voice and mannerisms down pat. Excellent job! The venue is perfect and there is not a bad seat in the house. I strongly recommend seeing this group!

Incredibly clever political satire, delivered with aplomb to re-libretto'ed music you know. Fun to shake hands with the performers afterward.
