We were granted a tour due to having a friend who works in security and it was truly wonderful to see the history, and where State functions occur. If you can get a tour, definitely do!

This is an often-overlooked treasure! If you are visiting DC, take time to schedule a visit using the on-line tour request forms on the Dept. of State website.

Yes, these tours only allow a certain number of people per tour per day. Please take the time to arrange the tour, they are well worth the scheduling hurdles!
