PROS
• Nice statue in unexpected location
• Honoring the short term of our 20th President

CONS
Is a bit difficult to see it close-up because there is traffic that encircles it

James Garfield was not far from the Grant statue and in Washington statues are everywhere. Only visit if in the area or on a tour or you'd miss it.

This is a nice tribute to a President who only served 4 months in office until he was assassinated. It's a little hard to get to because of the intersection, but it's worth going to and reading about it. I recommend a stop by.

We stopped there on our way to the Capitol Building. The Statue is located at the foot hill of the Capitol in what they call; Garfield Circle. Great place for a few pictures.

Nice statue of former President James Garfield. Located right in front of the Capitol. Worth getting closer for a minute and read the inscription

Just in front of the Capitol building is a good monument to James Garfield, nothing overly special but he is on a pedestal watching the traffic with his back to the Capitol, worth a pit-stop.

President Garfield's statue is located by the capital building in the middle of a traffic circle. He was president for only 6 months when he was assassinated.

This statue honors Pres. Garfield who was assassinated. We all know he died sometime later.

It is in a circle in front of the Cap. not too far from the peace circle. U have to cross a busy st.to get to it.

This statue of James Garfield is impressive, but is positioned not far from the Capitol building and today tends to be surrounded by tour buses so can be overlooked. He was the 20th President, but only served from March to September 1881, when he was assassinated.

Another statue and monument, beside a much larger statue near the capitol building. Good to look at while there. Park of walking the National mall. More history.
