Me and my dad went with a tour guide. The boat ride was fun and great. There were lots of space and we got great seats undercover and can see everything. It was a fine, sunny day and very hot so needed to be in the shade. It was a fun and interesting ride as I learn a lot from it. It was interesting to see planes flying over the river as we found out the airport isn't far from them. I will do this boat trip again.

A trip on the river was included with our bus tour. It is 45 minutes with an English commentary telling you some facts about the city. Just a nice way to see the sites from a different angle. It is licensed so you can get a beer and take food on board as well. Most of it is in shade but if you don’t get there early enough, there are seats but you will be in the sun for part of the trip.

My wife and I had a nice, scenic ride, from Alexandria to Georgetown, and back. We had a nice meal in Georgetown. Crew was polite and professional. Boat was nothing special, but the view, especially on the return trip was nice. We could see lightning in the distance. A historical recording plays as you pass key spots, so you get a bit of a history lesson, too.

Went on the Nightingale to celebrate a big birthday and had the boat for 3 hours for a private party. We went cruising up the Potomac and had crabs and beer, hush puppies, mac & cheese and corn on the cob. Very casual event where we dressed casual and knew each other, wear good shoes with a grip. While the boat was old it was open on the side and it was one of those delightful summer evenings and the views were just wonderful. A different way to see the sights. The ride was smooth. The food was fine but nothing out of the ordinary. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and thought it good value for the money and reflected the casual atmosphere that the birthday person wanted. I would definitely do it again. Totally not fancy though!!!

We enjoyed a July 4th river cruise with this company. The boat was comfortable and the staff knowledgable and cordial.
