MLK's strength is embodied by the grand sculpture which is the memorial centerpiece. Because we feel so close to him in time and struggles, I feel the site could be a little more intimate - maybe have the quotes in a circular maze-like arrangement. I...More

Great very large memorial. I wish there was more explanation of the design of the memorial. Perhaps he is bridging the divide.

Other than the 50+ Pokemon Go players running around with their noses in their phone app, this is a very beautiful tribute to Martin Luther King Jr. The quotes on the walls are some of the best!!!

The memorial was breathtaking. I went at night which added to the experience. The likeness is stunning and the massiveness of the memorial is so powerful.

This was another must see! The statue of MLK is huge, beautiful and imposing. The fact that is carved and coming out of a huge stone is amazing. The area reflects his thoughts and beliefs.

We visited the memorial at night, just after visiting FDR. Together, the two provided potent reminders of what we can accomplish when at our best, and of the work yet to do. I found the inscribed quotes particularly moving. The statute of Dr. King is...More

My wife and I visited the MLK Memorial during the night and it was amazing. The stature looks so much better at night! There are several famous MLK quotes to read on the wall. We will definitely be back.
