Well designed & thought provoking. Made you think he'd be proud to see an African American President - although not so sure about the next one!!

We went on the night tour. The memorial is a giant statue of Martin Luther King Jr. It was amazing. Not to be missed. They way they shine the lights on the memorial at night adds to the awesomeness.

I have seen this memorial several times and love it every time. His eyes look full of life even though they are actually made of stone. His quotes make you realize what an amazing person that he was.

Part of traveling I think is to eat of the plate of diversity. The African American Nation has a history of struggles and victories. The Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial is an iconic representation of this worldwide hero. It is free and open to the public. It sits near the water and it helps even when it is hot outdoors.... More

While visiting the area for our Family Reunion, we stopped at the Martin Luther King Memorial. A must see while on tour , we wanted to see all of the historical landmarks. I only wish that the statue had legs , his entire body. It was nice to read a lot of his quotes on the walls

Deeply moved by the quotes and the artists interpretations of this great and moral leader...carved and created from more than 150 blocks of incredible stone - AMAZING!

Beautifully made , such meaning such heart. We need him now there is more work to be done. A lot of thought went into creating this and should be read about when seen.
