I took a Thanksgiving Lunch Cruise with my family down the Potomac River. The ship was nicely decorated, elegant table setting (white linen, glasses, the works), friendly staff, excellent food (plenty of it -- buffet), and wonderful atmosphere. Very pleasant ride down the Potomac. Scenic/tourist highlights provided. Things for kids to do -- many were on the dance floor, plus... More

It was really fun, nice music of all kind and from everywhere (actually could ask the DJ for what you wanted!), great staff, amicable, knowledgeable and professional. Also kudos to the chef, the food was delicious.

The food was good, not great, the desserts were average. The dinner cruise for two adults $225...,$45-50 administrative fee added to the initial $85 per person cost, not disclosed until checking out for payment. When we cruised, a large group gathered around and stood at the bar all night, and never sat or ate dinner, wearing khakis, jeans, hoodies with... More

We took the Spirit of Washington on a rather chilly Saturday evening. First, we did not leave on time. We left about 25 minutes late. The food, wasn't great. The best thing for me was the desserts. They did not have any tea bags, they ran out. The DJ was good as was our server, Sharday. I actually found all... More

Took the Spirit cruise down the Potomac river to Mt Vernon. Went on Columbus day in October and the boat was only about 30% full. The boat ride was very nice, about 1.5 hours each way. The price of the cruise includes admission to Mr Vernon and a tour of the house, which was a good value. On the way... More

This is the only way to travel to George Washington's Mount Vernon. A Leisurely cruise down the Potomac river with the sun shinning, fantastic.

Our primary purpose was to easily get to and from Mt Vernon. But the trip itself and cruise on the river was very good too. Ticketing and boarding were flawless - we purchased on-line. The narrative was good enough - by that I mean they didn't yap the whole way but they came across with some good and interesting information... More

I booked a river cruise to Washingtons House through this site, but it did not say that the day I had booked for the boat did not sale on that day. At no time did it stop my purchase of the tickets. I was up at 6am and walked an hour to the wharf only to be told by a... More

We took the Spirit of Mount Vernon boat ride. It is a great value. The ride was fantastic. You can sit on the top deck and enjoy the elements or be inside watching through all the large windows. Note: if you want pictures of Washington DC from the water, get them on the way to Mount Vernon. The top deck... More

We went to Pier 4 for an evening dinner tour on the Spirit of Washington which travels North on the Potomac River to see the DC monuments lit up at night. We were disappointed to learn that ship was out of commission and we had to go on the Spirit of Mount Vernon which travels South on the Potomac River.... More
