Really beautiful Basilica on the campus of CUA. It's as grand as you would expect, with lots of nooks and crannies. If you're there for mass, watch out for the incense - anyone with asthma will be challenged.

Beautiful art. A peaceful place. This is the highlight of my visit to D.C. Just call ahead to ask if there are any events happening. When we went, they had the university graduation going on, and so we couldn't really enjoy the main hall.

Yes it is!!! I did it myself to get there. It is also beautiful because you need to enter the Catholic university to get there. It is a short walk really. I recommend it.

There are many areas as well as another floor in the Basilica. We had a tour while there was a high school graduation mass in the main church.
