I felt the exhibit was just enough info for 60-90 minutes. I went on a Wednesday at 4:30 and it closed at 6:00 so I had just enough time and there wasn't a large crowd like many of the more popular museums. Good combination of...More

Part of me not enjoying myself quite as much as I thought I would was my fault. I didn't research it enough. I went to it with a mindset of seeing all kinds of artifacts and reading unique stories from around the world. They had...More

The first time that I went was over a year ago. Loved every drop of it and gave it an excellent rating. What brought it down a notch was that it did not show all the magazine covers it previously had shown that I loved...More

You need at least half a day to enjoy your visit. If possible do not carry any bags, it would be faster to enter when there's long line

To be fair, one of the two "paid entry" exhibit areas was out of service since the exhibit was being updated. The crocodile exhibit was fairly well-done, but when I think of National Geographic, I think of excellence, and the "free", more general part of...More

My son is a big fan of National Geographic. He was looking forward to the museum as part of our trip to DC. When we got there, they had shut down the Photo Ark exhibit they had featured on their website and had only one...More

Check website for closures at NG museum; Yellowstone exhibit slim in amount and substance. Inclusion of a photo of a "sports" magazine cover speaks to this. This is hardly grocery store worthy let alone museum worthy. Smithsonian Nature photography in Natural History museum beats NG...More

Given the breadth and depth of National Geographic expeditions and education, we had great expectations. There was only one real exhibit to see - Crocs. It was well done, explaining much about the kinds of crocs and their life. What appalled me were the few...More
